Ztto - Shimano Jockey Wheel Compability and Experience
« on: March 10, 2025, 01:01:42 PM »
Hey everyone,

I’m currently riding the Shimano GRX RX810 2x11 groupset with the CN-HG701-11 chain and the GRX 810 derailleur pulleys . My current pulleys have 11 and 13 teeth.

I came across ZTTO derailleur pulleys and I’m wondering if anyone has experience with them and whether they’re compatible with the GRX RX810 groupset. Here’s the link to the ZTTO pulleys I’m considering:

Are the ZTTO pulleys compatible with the GRX RX810 groupset? How is the shifting performance with them? Are there any noticeable differences or disadvantages compared to the original Shimano pulleys?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences!

Compatible, and they spin even better/ more freely than Shimano since they have bearings while Shimano only use bushings. I dont feel what the real world difference is when pedaling but it's a joy to see the jockey wheels spin freely for 5 seconds (no load) when shimano only manages like a full turn.

Seconded on the compatibility, they'll definitely work. However I would advise that you seek out a set of jockey wheels with narrow-wide tooth profiles, as in my experience the shift quality goes up by a small but noticeable amount. I'm running Pass Quest ones but there are cheaper options out there, I put a 12/14t set of these Fovno wheels on a friend's bike and they're much nicer than the stock GRX ones with crappy bushings. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256803243188250.html
