AliExpress Price Adjustment Feature
« on: March 26, 2025, 11:56:16 AM »
Has anyone noticed and/or used the AliExpress price adjustment feature? It's worth checking out on recent orders. Usually it won't give you a huge refund, but it you have multiple orders, the savings do add up. I would check periodically until an item's time period for adjustments expire. The money then gets automatically refunded into your payment method.

If you want to access it, just go into: Orders >  Order details > Price adjustment > and it should automatically check for all items in your order queue.  ;)

Hmm, I don't see this feature. How recent do the orders have to be before they expire?

It should be 30 days. Most my recent purchases have been Choice items and it might not apply on all orders.

You have an (anonymized) screenshot of this feature? I don't see anything comparable on the web nor in my app.

I'm working on my computer right now, so I'm adding a screenshot from the desktop version. Basically just click on an item order details and if the item qualifies, it will show the Price Adjustment link. Click on the text that says Price Adjustment > and that should go to the automated page that will check all your items or you can apply individually to check.

Expected the feature there but have never seen it. Maybe, it's because I am better at grabbing deals than you and only buy things at all time lows?  :P (kidding obviously - I will have a lookout for it on my next orders)

Not all items have the price adjustment. From what I can see it's mostly for Choice items. So if you haven't purchased anything from Choice or items that don't have it listed in the description, there's a possibility you're not seeing the option.

Thanks for the heads up! Only like 15 out of the ~50 items I ordered showed this "price adjustment" feature but these are all low price items.  But I did find a nice feature, if the item is late it'll give you a $1 coupon that you can use towards future purchases (expiration date is like 2 month from now.). I kinda feel guilty about collecting it, especially some of the items are just a couple bucks and they are really not that late, maybe by a day or two.

These coupons expire pretty fast and you can only use one coupon at a time, so de facto, i collect them because i get an email notification telling me to, and barely use them.

Does it only show up on items that are currently actually cheaper than what you paid for or also on items you got cheaper than the current asking price?

You guys might just be better shoppers than me!  ;D

The savings don't always come up and at best you'll just get your coffee money back. Like I mentioned on this thread as well, not all items seem to qualify for price adjustments either. It's just one of those things to check to get a little money back if possible.  ;)

Yeah, that's kinda my theory: I only buy when a sale is going on. And I made it a bit of a sport's competition to find the best price during that, combining best offer from different shops, coins, shop and AE discount codes. Sometimes they add up to insane discounts where I thought that cannot be intended. A few do take several hours to actually be confirmed which makes me think there was a manual check going on in the background. But so far they all got confirmed in the end. I guess for most things a sell is a sell.

I think it is very unlikely that I will ever find a product in my order list where the current listing price (w/o discounts codes) will be lower than what I paid for it.
