Convert this thread into doomsday shopping folks. What ya buying? Also what does that date signify? My packages have to be marked as shipped before 2nd May and they will be exempt or those need to be delivered before 2nd May? This is going to be a super BUSY month for AliEx.

Delivered before 5/2. Date of arrival in US governs application of tariff.

Hmm, this is risky. Cutting too close. Over the past couple of years *most* of my orders have come thru within 2 weeks and couple needing more than a month. Judging by my luck, if I order something today its going to come by only after May 2.

I’ve been stockpiling parts since November. I already expedited bike builds within the last few months. I have parts in either duplicate or triplicate! S**t is hitting the fan!

I used to get stuff delivered and pick up in the USA to save $$ in Canada now it will be cheaper here. I live an hour from the border and traveled to the US a couple times a month. Hopefully things will level off soon.

I ordered some spare parts for my ER9. The Ltwoo store warned me that I might get hit with custom fees aka the national tax. Crossing fingers stuff arrives before May 2nd.

In the EU that threshold is 150 EUR, which sounds a lot more reasonable than 800. What's the new threshold? Practically, customs can't stop and treat every single parcel, there's got to be a new lower threshold?

Well, we were told by DHL, that the complete US Import is currently very very restrictive and we need to have detailed tariffnumber HS Codes, etc....they told me, its like playing lottery and they gave us the advice not to send anything currently with normal postal services, as it may get lost or returned without any reason and DHL will charge us Euro 50 for this....
Higher shipping services (express etc still have the effect of delayed and complicated import behaviours on us customs site) but the risk of loss and extra charge is not evident due to high service prices of dhl...but this does not make sense, sending a 50 Euro part for 120 Euros shipping.
We have some shipment dispatched before we dhl and we knew about it and they are currently stuck at customs (with no reason, all necessary informations are included)

Over the weekend I just placed nearly 100 orders on AliExpress on all sorts of bike parts, garden supplies, solar lights and other junks. Hope they can get in before May 2nd.
I also bought a bunch of tires from Lordgun.com, they ship pretty quickly and today it's already dispatched from Europe. So I guess I won't be affected by the tariff on my hobby stuffs for probably a year.
