Author Topic: All mixed up with Sensah compatibility (HRD shifter- which RD?)  (Read 741 times)

Bought HRD shifters and an SRX RD; obviously not working. What's my cheapest option for a compatible RD with good gear capacity? Currently running a 40T cassette but would like the freedom to go bigger. From what I understand LTwoo GR9 RD should work but I'm also seeing Shimano GRX 812 RD for not much more.

Those shifters use the SRAM Road pull ratio. L-Twoo and Shimano RDs will not work with it. You'll want a SRAM Rival/Force/Apex 1 long cage rear derailleur. What's not working about the Sensah one?

Sensah looks like they switched the 12 speed Empire pull ratio to Shimano. I guess since SRAM doesn't do 12 speed mechanical.  ::)

These are listed as Shimano 105 7120 compatible!

Going to take a chance on the GR9 RD. Someone needs to make a compatibility matrix. Very confusing.

Update- GR9 works. Combo shifts a little strange though; I def prefer Shimano shifting.

Is this with 11 speed? Can you take a photo of the levers just so I can see which ones they are?

I hate loading photos here. It's the HRD team pro. I would probably just get the whole GR9 combo vs trying to mix and match Sensah and LTwoo. Just strange that Sensah doesn't seem to have a mechanical Shimano 11 speed gravel groupset.
