I'm seeing new chainring tooth profile to allow more teeth to take the chain load rather than the first 2 teeth on the ring.  The new profile also allows dirt and grit to better clear the teeth to prevent tooth wear.  They are saying it will last 4x longer than the old ring design.  On the chain, the links have been improved to provide better wear characteristics and smoother running.  They've also revise the pin protrusion which should reduce cog wear during shifting.

When I need to replace my 32T XX1 chainring, I will be looking seriously at the Eagle ring since SRAM is saying it is compatible with my 11-spd setup.  May even go with an Eagle chain as well, if the cost is reasonable.

My first HT trail bike lasted 8 years with me before I sold it to a friend.  He's still using it, the bike's on it's 14yrs now.  While with me, I never replaced the Alivio drive train at all.  I only do a regular chain replacement... every 2,500km.  As previously mentioned, a regular chain replacement helps in lowering the rate of wear and tear for your chain rings and sprocket.  I did the same with my current bike's 9speed Deore (6yrs), only changed them this year and it's because I wanted to try the 1x10 setup.

I always make it a habit to clean my bike everytime I used it.... Re-grease it with finish line dry lube and wet lube for wet condition...
