29er / 29ER ICAN P9 fork offset
« on: April 08, 2019, 07:14:13 PM »
I am building up a P9 frame this spring. 29er. I am wondering what fork offset would work best on this frame? I will probably use an MRP 160mm Ribbon fork. Maybe something else if I find another fork I like.

29+ & 27+ / P-9 fork offset

Is there an optimal fork offset for the Ican P-9 ? 51mm seems standard. With other shorter options in some forks such as 40mm and 46mm. 29er setup w/ 160mmm front fork.

29+ & 27+ / Ican P-9 geometry
« on: October 27, 2018, 11:42:14 AM »
I am wondering how accurate is the stated head tube angle of the Ican P-9 ? When I place a photo of a completed P9 (Triaero enduro 29) alongside a photo of a Hightower LT, the Hightower LT appears to noticeably be slacker. Although Hightower LT states 66.4 degree head tube angel. And P9 states 66 degree head tube angle. I know that comparing manufacturer photos may not depict actual angles. Anyhow, I am looking for a somewhat slack geometry enduro oriented 29er. And the P9 looks interesting.

29+ & 27+ / Anybody familiar with this frame?

I noticed a Workswell DW-link style frame that looks interesting WCB-M-124 . http://www.workswellbikes.com/PRODDUCT/MTB/Downhill/20170922/158.html  Anybody familiar with it? Can this be built as a 29er? Looks something like an Ican S8. But a little longer and slacker.

29er / Do they still sell the Ican P9

Do they still sell the Ican P9 frame? It doesn't appear to be for sale any more at the Ican site.

29er / Head tube angles
« on: November 04, 2017, 11:13:47 AM »
I am wondering if anybody knows about upcoming frame models. And more specifically, will there be FS models with slacker head angles? I recently built an Ican P-8 set up as a 29er. And while I am very happy with the bike, the main suggestion I would have is to make the same bike but with a 1-2 degree skacker head angle. This seems to be the direction that many manufacturers are going towards.
