Re: Carbonda Cfr 1056 My frame arrived and I have no complaints after an initial inspection. The only error They made was sending me plain round headset spacers instead of the proper spacers for the integrated headset. I wonder if they'll correct the error. This could just push me to buy the FSA ACR headset and spacers.

jstrawks' Carbonda CFR-1056 build thread I'm going to document my build.

Here are some weights, and a shot of the frame on the build stand.

This will be a slow build because my groupset is on back order till Christmas, my wheels and tires haven't arrived, and I may not decide on a stem length till the last.

Re: jstrawks' Carbonda CFR-1056 build thread My FSA headset and Vision stem arrived today. I didn't realize the stem came with one 10mm spacer, one 5mm spacer, and the SMR to ACR adapter. I wasted four bucks buying one of those adapters. The stem comes with a compression cap that matches the contours of the stem.

UPDATE: I found another 10mm spacer in the box!

Re: Vortex Carbon Spoke Wheels
Vortex are better wheels for sure, but what tyres and size are you going for?

If it's old style narrow profile clinchers of 23-25mm they're fine.  But 19/26mm ID/OD is pretty narrow for modern  fatter 25-26mm tyres, especially tubeless, which tend to come up bigger or bulge on smaller ID rims.  By the time you get to 28-30mm you're giving up a pretty significant aero loss, and the profile of the tyre is very much less than ideal.    If you're on 'old' style tyres, go for one of the two, if not, think about going something 21-22/28-30mm ID/OD.

I'm not sure where you're getting your information, but tire manufacturers don't agree with you. Here's Schwalbe's chart, as an example:

Re: jstrawks' Carbonda CFR-1056 build thread My Farsports wheels arrived. The front is 719g. The rear is 820g.

This is as far as the build progresses until the groupset becomes available.

Re: jstrawks' Carbonda CFR-1056 build thread
Stunning bike.

Mind sharing the total cost with everyone?

I believe it will come in just under $4k. When it's done I'll post all the details, including weights.
