For the base frame, the going rate seems to be $870USD on sale and just over $1000USD regular price. Definitely compared to the regular price Panda Podium seems to have pretty decent pricing since they include shipping for $1199USD

The Team version though is just over $1200USD so their $1668USD asking price seems comparatively expensive.

That said, looks like a pretty nice frame if you are willing to live with less tire clearance. For weight comparison if the weights are accurate, this Team frame just over 100g heavier than than an S Works Aethos and should be lighter than a regular Aethos. Its designed for internal cable routing too which add a bit of weight. Pretty incredible for the price.

Yeah, I dunno about the PandaPodium pricing ... that's a huge difference.

Rhinowalk has new bags out. I have a couple of their bags and they are a cut above rest of the Chinese bags including Rockbros which is generally quite popular.

These seem a little expensive though.

Eh ... I don't think they thought about the boa placement on the side of the top tube of that bag ...

Copy of the Merida?

Except the head angle i find too steep, 70° or 71 for tall sizes will be a better sweet spot between stability and agility, this bike is more or less the same what a famous US graveler will ride this year https://www.instagram.com/p/C2dIgQcOa0w/

For me the tideace is made for rolling fast, thus you don't want Downcountry'esque seat angle and 140-160 is enough for the intented use.

That bike was launched nearly 2 years ago and it's still not available to anyone except their increasingly large crop of sponsored riders.  In fact beside Tri frames, I don't think any Felt bikes are available anywhere outside North America ...

It was claimed they were reorganizing after they were purchased from Rossignol by Pierer ... but that's, again, almost 2 years ago.

Also that Breed Carbon has the worst cable routing I've ever seen.  Even worse than the Exploro.

Not that I'm in the market for a gravel frame as I just built one up, are you saying its too race oriented geometry wise? I've been on the hunt for a gravel race bike that clears 50s.

Slacker seat angle, steeper heat tube angle, and shorter WB / FC is not 'racy', it's slow, and also dangerous on anything chunky, steep or technical.  Of course that doesn't stop the industry marketing machine and associated media from calling it 'racy'.

37
Yet another one where the geo doesn't match the tire clearance except in the small sizes.  HTA / STA and FC / WB are garbage in the larger sizes.

BB drop of 68mm is pretty low these days.  Not for me.

I'm assuming it should be possible to swap out for Magura or Shimano calipers?

Hoods and calipers are an unknown quantity, but I doubt Wheeltop will release derailleurs with the kind of problems LTWOO and Sensah have had, if their MTB offering is anything to go by.  Software ... we'll see.

I have the Rockbros ones that are usually $25 on Amazon.  They have been great for the last couple of years.  Photochromatic adjustments can be a little slow when you move into shade, but I'm not sure how much better expensive versions would be.

I only have experience with Oakley and they're very slow to react.  I think only very expensive glass lens photochromic lenses are reasonably quick to change - Zeiss etc.  The new electronic ones are instant though.

Looks like this frame, although with a different fork: https://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,3739.0.html

Definitely not.  Look at cord length of the head tube.  It's massive on the BR frame.  Also long smooth curve of downtube towards headtube vs angular.

Looking at the photos I was expecting a slacker head angle.  But geo table is saying only 71.5.  It looks like more ... I wonder if it's correct.  IMO it needs more given the length of the TT.

XL also absent.

Tire clearance looks massive, assuming there is sufficient lateral clearance at chain / seat says  and the fork.  Assuming there is, height wise you could probably fit a 52-54 on the rear and a 57 on the front.

There will be a new iteration of ERX coming in Q1 2024:

See from around 7:00 in this video. LTWOO will be holding a launch event.

Presumably the revised electronic gravel hoods we saw pics of a while ago, and derailleurs with seals, for both road and gravel.

43
Perfect for people who've accidentally cut their chain one link too short!
Side note, there's a ridiculous sale for the ER9 groupset on AliExpress, 600 AUD!

Probably because they're about to start selling stock of a significantly revised version ...

Alright, I am building the frame that I have received under warranty because the first one was showing cracks between to he 2 holes on the seat stay.

Now I have just tightened the same bolt (making sure not to go above 3.5 nm). See picture. I see similar hairline "cracks" around the hole.

Do you guys have the same thing? It's really small, but still I don't believe I should have those "cracks". Unless the paint (basic black matte) is really bad quality.

For now, the indications don't seem to transfer into the carbon layup. But if you guys tell me that some of you have the same thing, I would know it really is the paint ain't no risk for those indications to become cracks in carbon.

Looks like warranty number 2 to me.

It staggers me that people are still buying these (or really anything from Velobuild) given the number of cracked 218s in the last year.  But then I suppose people are buying Dogmas still for 10x the price when they've had a plague of similar cracks.

fake G8 insoles

i havent tried authentic g8 insoles but these are cheap as chips and work well for me. ive been using them for over a year

The real ones cost over $100 iirc

plenty of youtube videos teaching about the benefits and how to use them

https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805604633625.html?channel=facebook&fbclid=IwAR39Kd1LtDdXYhtfLicUDkvbcLqwPc6I8EZEDhP2lRlnqxNvuhlzFylLfmU

I haven't ridden them but I've handled genuine G8s.  They're very cheaply made and ridiculously priced ... I don't know whether the ones you have are a full on replica, but it wouldn't be difficult to do.  IMO they're the kind of thing all premium shoes should come with, but don't - but they're way too pricey for an aftermarket offering given the pretty low quality.

For anyone wanting a higher quality full carbon insole with good arch and heel support, I'd recommend Winsole.  Though if you're using super narrow shoes, they probably won't work.
