Should be doable, there is a lot of room in the BB area to run it up the seat tube. You have the magnet thingy?

How is your BB mounted, did you use loctite? I have some creaking at times too but nothing worst than what I hear from much more expensive frames riding around me, so I haven’t been overly concerned with it, maybe I should lol

After The Ride / How addictive is bike building?!
« on: April 17, 2024, 08:24:06 AM »
I did my first build earlier this year and thoroughly enjoyed the search for all components, the associated technical learning and then actual bike assembly. I am now constantly looking for excuses for the next one:
Building bike for my kids
Trying to convince friends to build rather than buy,”I’ll build it for you”
Should I built a full suspension for me?

Am I the only addict?

I have used Cruz crank on my kids bike and it’s a pretty good piece of kit.

As for frame you have a few more options than BXT but it’s the one I will use for my daughter 24”

You’re not wrong, but where is the fun in taking the path most traveled? :)

Not at the price you linked. at $200, it may be possible to find, but based on Hambini review, you're not getting a superior product really, at least not from production quality/engineering point of view seemingly

Sure looks like it!
they state M310 in the description which is the road hub but looks like the M330 and the weight matches for the front hub at 107g, rear is 15g lighter that H-works quoted weight at 210 vs 225.

Edit: actually the brand  under description is "guster M330"

Component Deals & Selection / H-works M330 MTB hubs
« on: April 10, 2024, 05:37:22 AM »
Hi everybody,

So when putting together my bike a few months ago I shied away from building my own wheels and I have some regrets about it…
Now seriously considering giving it a go. As I was researching hub options, I watch hambini review of the H-works hubs and kind of settle on these. They are not available on Ali but I contacted them direct and they are open to sell direct landed cost to Houston is $200

A couple of questions:
Anyone has them, any feedback?
Anyone in US or in France (I travel Back and forth a lot) interested in a group buy if I can get volume discount?

Well I changed my 3mm off set chainring by a 0mm one and it for sur didn’t result in 3mm extra clearance for chainring/chainstay… maybe 1mm, at most.

Edit: well now it’s dropping the chain like crazy at the chainring while on the lowest gear which it never done before. I think that chainring is no bueno.

Edit 2: fitted the 3mm offset z race back and no more drops, so I guess that settles it for the moment

How is the frame? I was going to get the 24” for my 8yo daughter? I looked at wheels and couldn’t find much. Yuan may have something, worth checking but be very specific in your request…

Look at the Scott HT, SP cycle  has a copy and I think it allows 40T chainring

I know for my built for torque specs I used a lot the repair manual from original frame design company (Scott), maybe the same exist for your frame. A quick search I found this:
