I want to change my fat bike to 27.5 for this winter and just need to select some rims.
So far I’ve had a surprising amount of trouble finding good options…many are sold as compete wheels with terrible cheap hubs that won’t last a month under snow riding torque.
These are basically all I’ve found for carbon, $329/rim plus $50 shipping:

Most of the other options are SunRingle Mulefuts that I don’t particularly want; closed rims are a much better tubeless solution for intense riding in deep cold than ones with cutouts. I’m open to alloy on paper but most alloy fat bike rims have cutouts. And don’t even get me started on HED fat bike rims that I’d probably break in a few weeks. They’re designed for very light, very gentle riders and I am neither.
Long time no see Peter! My CS256-SL cracked just 2 weeks ago, I guess you don't make those anymore either?
Or can you ask the hub supplier for a technical drawing of the hub? Normally hub suppliers will provide that info and we can see the bearings for itHere are some pictures on the hubs

Hi Peter,
I am SERIOUSLY interested and don't mind getting another wheelset but my experiences with many online seller selling "high-end" OEM bicycle parts is that they don't answer the more technical questions asked. If you feel uncomfortable replying here, please private message me. If you don't know the answer and cannot find out, just let me know that you don't know so that I can stop asking. :-) I've send you a email but have not got a reply .
So is this cutomized hubs, 36T Ratchet or Pawl type ? Is it compatible and will we be able to replace the microspline with original DTSwiss ? What is the bearing size ? 6803, 6903 or others or mixed ? You mentioned ceramic bearings but just to confirm, is it actually ceramic or hybrid ?
What are the hub and spokes options if we don't need carbon spokes ? Any lightweight aero spokes (titanium or alloy) options with hubs that are able to accept larger bearing size, hybrid bearings ?
disc brake, carbon spokes
what will be the price for a the R5026TL, with DT240?disc brake or rim brake? With Sapim CX-Ray spokes?
Hi Peter,Yes, we do.
Any gravel wheels available? Internal width 23mm or 25mm. Thanks!
Hi Peter,The hubs are customized from Taiwan hub factory, I am not so familiar with hubs design, they are 36T rachets however. If you want to order wheels with original brands hubs, like I said, we do have many options.
You mentioned that the rim is 125 USD/piece. And the R5026TL disc brake rims 24/24H built with carbon spokes, high end 36T rachets straight pull hubs, 1315g/pair, 2 years warranty, sale price- 625 USD/pair
So that's almost US$375 if we take US$625 mins US$250 (for rim). Trying to figure out where the cost goes to. There is no detail on the hub but the mention of 36T rachets suggest it's a DTSwiss clones, could you provide more details so that we can see the value of the product.
Example - Carbon type , Hub Type and brand, Bearing type, brands, size. Spokes brand, details . Could you provide close up photos of nipples, rim, spokes, etc.
I recently ordered a pair of Carbon wheelset (6 pawls) from Kung for US$220/= , excluding shipping. I'm sure yours are of better quality but I would appreciate if you could provide details.
Do you have additional discounts for members here ?
36T rachets sounds like DTswiss clones. Could you provide more specific informations ?The hubs are customized in Taiwan, we have original DT Swiss hubs option as well.
584mm ERD on FHR930C, which is 583mm on YHR930C, I think you can reuse the spokes
Yes, 6 years ! And of hard riding, that speaks about the quality of your products
Does the YHR930C has the same ERD as the FHR930C ?
So I can reuse the spokes.
