My friend tell me that ceramic bearing wheels are more smooth and stable. Do you guys agree? Would like to try. I have already browsed some of the online stores for several days. Seems not so many options. Who knows where can buy such a pair wheel? Don’t be too expensive!!!

For now i read about ACE(asiancyclexpress) shop, they have a SLR ceramic bearing wheel, mentioned Chosen hubs. But i can not find it on Chosen official website. Anyone know this? The Wheel set is light, and looks good for me. (but someone maybe don’t like the outlook with edges and corners, just a guessing :) , here is a photo of their hubs.

Anyone who had ever tried this pair wheels, with ceramic bearings hub?
Or any other shops can be recommended to purchase ceramic bearing wheels?

Based on this thread I would stay far away from this company........ http://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,889.0.html

My experience with ceramic bearings on a MTB is that they will die very quickly - Follow the good advice about buying the hubs that you want no matter the bearings - Personally I prefer Hope for MTB as they are good quality, not too heavy and very easy to get spare parts for.

For me good communication is so very important and it goes both ways. I fully understand the difference in culture and respect/honesty is the keyword, if someone I buy from keep coming back with "good" excuses why my stuff have not shipped I have shopped there for the last time. I prefer no good news instead of lame excuses and that proves to me that the seller is at least honest.

BTW Peter was indeed good at communicating and that was the reason why I bought my frame from him and that's the reason why I will buy my carbon rims from him very soon   :D

1 month and not even shipped yet despite lots of promises - I would inform them that they have until end of Monday to provide me with a valid tracking number or I will take contact to my CC company/PayPal and start a claim for fraudulent behaviour.

Watch out, soon it is too late to file a claim !

Around 10mm each, OEM are 95.5 mm long if I remember correctly.

Correct, Crank brothers do have two lengths, short 88 mm and normal 95.5 mm. On eBay one can find everything from ultra short to ultra long but only US produced product is the one I linked to. By reading around on the Internet you should stay away from the China produced Titanium as it  is very weak and often poor quality. The one I'm linking to is claiming that their Titanium is stronger than what CB use them self and they do have lots of positive comments on MTBr forum. Basically you can turn your Eggbeaters 1,2 or 3 into Ti11 for a fraction of CB cost and have sub 200 gram pedals   8)

Its either them or another click system :(

There is one other Chinertown forum member that chose the same color scheme as I did.  Appears to be popular.

I must admit that I got a "bit" inspired :D

I've had no problems with my shoes hitting my seat stays on my -036, I am not sure how much clearance I have but I don't think I've ever brushed the frame with my shoes.

I assume you mean that you have a Q-factor of 168mm not 156mm, that would make a difference.  Also, when I installed my BSA bottom bracket on my -036, I needed to add the included 2.5mm spacers to either side to compensate for the 68mm wide frame and move it out to 73mm.

You might be able to get a few millimeters of clearance just by adding a washer to your pedal spindle.  Of course you want to still have a minimum thread engagement equal to the diameter of the shaft.

You may also pick up a millimeter or two by adjusting your cleats, or by changing to a different brand of clipless pedals.

On the SRAM/Truativ XX 2  x 10 speed GXP crankset the Q-factor is either 156 or 166 mm. On my set its stamped 166 mm at the sides of each arm. I have already tried with a small extra washer as well as mingling with the cleats but it is unfortunately not enough. I will need at least 5-7 mm more to stay clear. I either have the choice of finding a longer spindle for my Candy's or maybe another pedal system - However I love the Eggbeaters and would hate to change to another setup. Also, the "knee saver" adapter is a no-go as they move much too far out for my liking.

I finally got around to take the 036 for the first testride yesterday, weather here in Scandinavia have been terrible and I was awaiting the last bits and pieces for my XX groupset. Anyway, it became a very short testride as my MTB shoes are hitting the seat stay :( My crankset is a Truativ XX 2 x 10 with a 166 wide Q-factor and my pedals are the CB Candy. I'm hitting quite hard especially on the right side and I have to force my shoes out in the cleats, making it very hard for my worn knees after even a very short ride. Do any of you have the same issues on the 036 frame ?

I'm now looking into longer spindles for my Candy's and apparently I can find a ultra long kit on eBay, problem is that I can only find them in Titanium and I'm afraid that I'm too heavy for Titanium - Any suggestions ?

Agree, same frame apparently - here is an eBay seller that have some cheap Carbon frames and among them one LWA as well.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/kevi-80/m.html?_trksid=p3692

As a matter I just won this auction http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BEIOU-3K-carbon-fiber-unibody-road-bike-frame-racing-bike-frame-B012A4-500mm-/131737920806? It cannot be all wrong for about 200$ including shipping and already in Europe so no tax at all. That will eventually be a road bike for wife :D

BTW paint sucks but I know a cheap painter.

Looks like a nice frame.

That's what I was thinking. Doesn't much help you identify it but I really like it. The paint scheme is sweet, and the small wheels and BMX style stem remind me of my old freestyle bike I had when I was in my teens. Looks like it'd be fun to whip around. What stem is that if you don't mind me asking?

Well, I have tried to compare the frame with other 26" frames around but I cannot find anything that looks like this. The handlebar with integrated stem is also from the same company as the frame "LWA" - If you try to google them nothing pops up though.

I bought this frame last spring and its obviously made in China. Its a size small(around 15.5") for 26" wheels and my wife is riding on it with great joy. I bought it via eBay and it was crazy cheap around 250$ brand new and sold via Holland so no tax either. Do anyone know this frame and have any more info about it ?

Any info would be very much appreciated

Damn, I just put a Chinese carbon bar on my brand new 036, I think that I'm going to play safe and buy a known brand after this information - Thanks for sharing and so good that daughter is ok !

Is it only the 1x11 groupsets that are having this issue with back pedalling on the biggest cog ? I do have a 2x10 setup with a wide range setup 11-42 and I do not have any issues whatsoever. I can even be at the big cog at the front and the biggest cog at the rear and no jumping off at all.

As I also sometimes have to step off in the middle of a climb(if I'm quick enough to click out before I crash), I would find it rather irritating not being able to put my pedals into position by turning them backwards.

I'm from Europe and I have bought tons of stuff from them over time and most of what I put on my 036 is also from them. Huge stock, quick and cheap shipping, good to answer questions - I would soy one of the best cycling stores in Europe for sure - Them and Chain Reaction Cycles are my absolute favourites.

Did you hear that Wiggle bought Chain Reaction? Pretty huge merger in the bike industry. Wonder what that will wind up meaning in the long run.

I have heard the rumour as well but not yet seen solid proof that they did buy CRC - However if they did, it will be sad for all of us as Wiggle always have been the most expensive and especially their shipping sucks. I hate when big companies kind of gain monopole within a branch :( Bike24 is very often the cheapest of them all and have very good deals most of the time and even as a Dane they are my preferred shop. As a matter of fact I have a Truativ GXP BB coming my way from them right now :D
