Ok so I just had to share these vids. This girl totally rocks out some pole dancing on live TV. Not only is it skillful, but dead sexy.

Yeah, I like that frame too. Haven't seen much talk about it.. it popped on this build thread where a guy was talking about using it: http://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,92.0.html

Also interested to hear more about this frame.

So I'm prolly just going to order everything chiner that I can.. including the seatpost and handlebars. Was wondering if anyone has, or has heard of any issues with them yet? Any instances of cracking or bad tolerances?

Sweet set up, man! Gott do something about that chainstay protector though. Or at least the white zip ties  ;D

As for the dropper - Don't underestimate how often some people use them. I personally don't have one but two of my riding buddies do and they use them constantly and swear they wouldn't own another bike without them. And that's doing mostly pure cross country riding. It just depends on the rider and their riding style imo. The weight penalty is what gets me, even though I'd prob never notice it. Maybe more of a mental thing but I love a light bike.

Hi Peter,

I sent you an email.  I'll accept a reshipment if you can send it out within say 3 weeks.  Otherwise I would like a refund so that I can source another frame elsewhere.  Just be honest with me and lets not drag this out further.

Thank you

How'd this turn out, Scott?

Hmmm.. Perhaps it's time I move to China and open my own carbon prodcution plant  ;D

Maybe I just don't really understand how the process works, but  why don't the chiner manufacturers just ask people what they want , and then produce it? Rather than coming up with these frames and then hoping people like it afterwards? A little market research would allow the right company to crush it. This thread/forum is a great start, maybe it just takes time, I dunno. Like I said, I don't know how it actually works so it may not be that simple.

Hahah, yes, nice show SN! Very creative.

And congrats to Patrick C. (secretly hate you like Sam lol) !!! Carbon hoops will be a great upgrade over those Shimano wheels he's currently rocking:

Their website is much more professional than the others.
It is surprising they don't get much attention here and on mtbr.

I have to agree that Carbonal is doing a lot of things right. The website is nice. The name is very brandable, and finally, I like their frames.

But they don't get as much attention bc Iplay is kicking everyone's butts in the most important area: marketing. Being more involved on the forums, sponsoring the rim giveaway - very smart moves for Iplay. I mean, all this time I thought it was "Xmiplay" until I've been looking at that banner at the top of this forum that says " Sponsored by Iplay" for the last 20 days. I used to work in advertising a bit and people underestimate the subtle subconscious effects it has on our buying decisions. Iplay has created tons of trust by being involved in this forum early on. That's why and how advertising works. I think the banner on this forum for the rim giveaway is the very first time I have seen ANY advertising AT ALL being done by these Chinese suppliers. Big mistake. This market is soooo wide open it's not even funny.

IMO, Carbonal and Hong-Fu both need to get busy creating a presence here on Chinertown while the community is still small, or Iplay is going to mop the floor with them. This community is growing fast and is really the first of it's kind - big advantage.  This is assuming, of course, that there isn't some unknown affiliation between Chinertown and Iplay?

Nice. But bro, you GOTTA post pics. You can't do that to us, it's just wrong! lol.

When you are making a post, there is a link you can click that says "attachments and other options". When you click it, you will then see a gray button that says choose file. Click that button and then simply choose the pic you want to upload from your files on your computer. Then press save. Or like Carbon Dude said, use an image hosting site. Photobucket is great but Imgur doesn't even require you to make an account. Hope that helps.

After The Ride / Re: Movies you've seeen lately
« on: July 03, 2014, 08:41:03 AM »
I just watched a ridiculously and surprisingly good movie called "Afflicted". I don't want to sat too much about so I don't ruin it, but one of the best movies I've seen in quite sometime. Perhaps because I had never heard of it and therefore had zero expectations, but checking the online reviews, I am not alone in my praise for the film.

Another really cool off beat unexpected great movie is "Let The Right One In" (the foreign version with sub titles is much better than the English version)

Def check both of those out!

Vendor Discussion & Reviews / Favorite Carbon Finish?
« on: July 02, 2014, 11:03:02 PM »
So as I was writing my "Characteristics of carbon" post I started wondering what people's preferences are when it comes to which carbon finish to use.

Might as well start a poll to find out. Here's that thread that contains pics of all the different finishes in case you want to check them out before casting your vote http://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,173.0.html

My guess is UD matte or 3k matte wins, I could be wrong tho.
