Re: Patty's Long Rant and Guide To Affordable Frames Oh man. I remember way back in the day when Velobuild was THE forum for chinese carbon. Before it was turned over to Chris and Zhongwei (actually not sure if Chris still works for Zhongwei) and became another seller. You could find all the vendors and buyer reviews there. Also that thread on Roadbikereview still had some traction. Its pretty dead now.

Then this forum took that spot and has been super helpful to my latest build. Its definitely expanded beyond frame selection to other rising Chinese gear (powermeters, computers, kit, etc) and I'm grateful for that.

Re: Recommended chinese dropper seat post? I second PNW droppers. Had one on my FS for 3 years and 0 issues.

I've also heard good things about Trans-X droppers.

Store I bought from (80 Designer store) sent me a replacement GR9 shifter after I couldn't get it to shift right and I just had to pay shipping.
Contact the vendor and see if they can help you. If you're stateside, I have a spare right shifter I can probably get that paddle to you if you cover shipping.

Merlincycles has some Time pedals for $26. I’ve also tried Exustar as a cheaper option and liked them.

Correct. The first was the purely mechanical version. The one with the cylindrical tensioner was when they went hydraulic. Looking at pics on Ali, there might even be a newer version GR9 with a more streamlined looking rear mech.
