Re: LTWOO RX hydro sets Can’t fault Luke for wanting to expand beyond bottom of the barrel, low end parts. I think he’s thoroughly covered that. He also needs to keep viewers interested with new content. Chinese fully hydro groups are the trending thing right now, and info on it is in high demand.

Bummer he doesn’t interact with all his viewers. Maybe email isn’t his forte?

Re: Recommendations for TT disc framesets? What do you mean by "decent"? Trustworthy? Affordable?

I think $1,000 is probably the realistic price for a disc tt frameset.

Airwolf has something around that price.

Re: LTWOO RX hydro sets Pulled the trigger on the Ltwoo 1x11 gravel group. Should be here in a few weeks. I’ll give it a go as is, but if the rear mech is as woeful as some say, I’ll replace it with a Grx.

Re: LTWOO RX hydro sets

New Trace Velo covering the LTwoo 1x GRT hydraulic groupset. A bit concerning is that he crashed his bike and broke the left carbon shift lever. I've crash a bunch of times on my GRX 400 levers and they're still working strong. Maybe carbon isn't the best material for levers. I think I'll stick with my slightly heavier alloy drop shifters!

I think the fact that shimano levers rotate relieves alot of the impact in a crash. The big lever on ltwoo is rigid and can't move laterally. And yeah...riding the loose dirt in the center is always a bad idea.

Re: Groupset News - Shimano Cues
I see that this thread has been mostly for Chinese drivetrains, but I hadn't heard of this DT before, and it seems like a nice new modern alternative to Shimano's entry level sets.  I think this is mostly for flat-bar bikes at the moment, but perhaps they'll include drop bar levers soon as well.

https://www.pinkbike.com/news/shimano-consolidate-entry-to-mid-level-groupsets-with-new-cues-tier.html

The pricing seems very reasonable for a 1x11 system:

Its not an alternative to shimano. It IS Shimano. This is replacing Acera/Altus/Tourney.

It does look nice for the quoted prices. Now if only they made drop bar shifters for them...

Re: Standert Bicycles (Berlin Brand) - Who Makes Them? Any Alternatives? Yeah, steel seems to be relegated to touring or all-road bikes from boutique shops with boutique prices!

Re: Gravel Bar Width poll Bar width will depend on peoples sizes. Reach of the bar is also a factor to keep in mind.  Supposedly the hoods/shifters should match your shoulder width.

42cm wide has always worked for me. I prefer shorter reach as well.

Re: Chasing Wind GT20 Gravel Frame build
Bit of help or advise please!

This frame  comes with the integrated cable setup , however !! I either drill the handlebars so I can feed cables from stem into the bars or go and buy the additional cap to allows cables to enter the head tube.

So is it safe to put a small oval big enough to take 2 cables in the bars as shown in the picture?

Thats a critical area of the handlebar, which is a critical area of the bike itself. The stem will put a lot of stress there from clamping on. That's the last place you want to weaken.

Re: Rinasclta Granite Aero "All Road" Bike Frameset Sick paint job and nice build. I tried once with spray.bike, but failed to realize how much humidity can affect the process. My steamy garage was not the ideal painting environment.  :-\
Now I leave it to the professionals.
