Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc!
This seller has various brown carbon saddles if you're looking to color coordinate. I picked this up to match with my brown bar tape and hoods.

Thought about getting one of these along with brown bar tape to match the tan wall tires. Will probably do so further down the road to mix it up a bit.

Re: Gravel handle bar carbon with 15-20 degree flare
digging up this thread because I'm looking for the same thing.
Anyone know something. >20° flare is just too extreme for me

It’s an odd design, but when I was searching this was the only carbon option with less than 20 degrees of flare.

Re: Flyxii FE-02 Build Bike is finally built up and will take it for its first ride this weekend. Lots spacers til I get the fit dialed in. I’ll replace the pedals with some SPD pedals. The saddle came with an obnoxiously long bolt that extended up frighteningly close to the cutout so I had it trimmed down a bit.
As you can see the clearance between derailleur and frame is a bit tight in certain gearing, but should be ok.

Re: Flyxii FE-02 Build First ride report.

Took it out for a quick spin this morning. Mix of paved road, rough tarmac, washboard farm roads, and a rocky little descent.
I’ve only been riding my 30 something pound trail bike do this thing feels super light! I also miss suspension.

Bike does handle well and I see the benefits of the flared bars.

Only issue is some flex in the rear. I can hear the brakes  rubbing slightly when climbing out of the saddle. Mostly flat where I live so not a huge annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless.

Re: Terrible customer service by Carbonda 1-2 days is good by chinese standards. Timezone difference, language barrier, production timelines...all will delay communication.

Re: Any cheap helicopter tape / surface guard tape options? I used this one from Amazon. It’s not full frame coverage, but it was one of the few “matte” options. Not as glossy as regular helicopter tape.
Covered the whole bottom of down tube, top of top tube, inside of fork, and back of seat tube.

Re: chinese carbon saddles
I also have the 7D but after 10 months it is flexing too much on the center  :-\

People are paying hundred of dollars for added “suspension” on their bikes. You’re getting it for free!!!  ;D

Re: When do you change the cassette? Not super scientific, but I go by tooth profile and overall performance. Compare what the teeth look like vs what they're supposed to look like. If there's a major difference, it might be time to change. Or if indexing is getting nearly impossible, its probably time to change it as well.

Note that chains and cassette will wear together, so sometimes its necessary to change both at the same time.

Re: Chinese cycling clothes
recently got 2 new pieces from YKYW
this shirt[url] which the fabric seems a bit different then the others I have from them, nice touch and comfortable, good fit.
and [url=https://pt.aliexpress.com/item/1005005333704015.html]this windvest[url] which I'm honestly impressed. The fabric is light and comfortable, it has a type of lycra on the cuffs which help a lot with putting on/taking off, it's well ventilated but I still was well protected from the wind and cold (7 deg C riding with base layer+jersey+windvest, and all good)
It's a major upgrade on the old windvest I got from them (one of the cheapest)

Those look really nice. Might have to pull the trigger on one. Nice find!
