Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc! I believe SROAD was renamed to SPEDAO - https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806215654995.html and is available abundantly now.

Highest quality? Not sure. But my anecdotal experience with Wuzei SL cassettes has been excellent. Their 11-32 weighs 225 grams on my scale. Have variations of it on different bikes and definitely better shifting compared to super cheap and heavy Sunshine cassettes. I just got a couple to keep it in reserve during current sale.

Even more expensive with fancier colors is Riro - https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806294879687.html. I remember someone else was talking about these cassettes a while ago. May be worth checking but price is somewhat prohibitive for just doing experiment.

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc! Goldix, Ztto and a few others have another style cassette similar to the Spedao/SRoad cassettes, but with sturdier rear spider, torx screws and thicker bracket. The Spedao cassettes have been known to crack by the riveted bracket after extended use. This one is also all-steel. I’m a bit hesitant going with some of these AliEx mixed alloy/steel cassette mainly because I do quite a bit of climbing and those alloy teeth tend to wear faster.

Re: WheelTop EDS TX Full Wireless Groupset (Chinese SRAM) It is interesting to note that SRAMs original wireless shifting patent .: US 2014/0102237 A1, expires on April 17th 2024.  Other Patents associated with electronic controller shifters filed by Shimano and SRAM have also been expiring.   I haven't read through all of SRAM's more recent patents, but what often happens is that companies file new claims to try to extend existing patents that are running out in order to try to block other competitors from using designs that are no longer patent protected.   It is possible that Wheeltop has a viable design that is legal and does not impinge on any current patents. This might be why the timing of their OX and TX systems have been just recently released.  Perhaps they will start selling in the USA once a few more of the patents they infringe opon expire.
Keep in mind that utility patents are good for 15 years, and design patents 20 years here in the USA.

Bluetooth and ANT communication standards are now over 20 years old, so Wheeltop can use these standards for a wireless method for their wireless communications.  Wheeltop's challenge is how to minimize battery usage, (sleep and wake up signals) that were in SRAM's wireless patent that expires in April.

Edit:  I believe that a "fixed battery" on a derailleur patent has expired too. But a removable battery is still covered under a newer SRAM patent.

Re: Velobuild Quality Control
I wish there was a dislike button. Who are you, and how much 1st hand experience with VB and other frames do you have?
Saying there is "no quality control whatsoever from velobuild" is simply false. I don't even want to argue, I just wish posts could be downvoted.
I'm sorry that you feel butthurt. It would certainly help the conversation if you could bring yourself to argue your point. Have you audited their production to know they are doing any QC? Are you sure you aren't conflating quality with quality control? In general you don't necessarily need any of the later to produce a decent product...

I've bought two frames from them, one perfect as you can only wish for, the other had a fork steerer tube that was 2mm(!!!) out of round, oval oversized pressfit BB (so you can't press in anything because you can just pull it out without any force), threads of the brake interfaces filled with resin, a seat tube that was only reamed out to about 7cm depth, voids on any machined surface and flaking paint right out of the box (that it wasn't painted as agreed upon should be a given at this point),.
The issues of that second frame are so obvious and present through the whole manufacturing process that I can't imagine even a rudimentary QC process to miss ALL of them and not pull that frame at some point from the production line before it reaches a customer.

I've audited enough production places to know the theme. They aren't evil, notice the defects and send them to the customers anyway - they just don't have dedicated processes set up so a defective product can be detected and pulled from the line at a later stage without incuring penalities to the person reporting the defects.
QC is a significant "non-productive" share of the production cost. If you can cut that, you'll be able to offer the product for cheaper. If your production is set up well in general, so the defect rate is low, you might even come ahead in customer experience on average.
