Re: Lexon GFX Carbon Gravel Bike Frame Build It looks like I could still open the dispute if need be.

They have replied back every time within 24 hours... Not sure if you can chalk it up to me asking for a matte/unpainted version and issues coming up from that or what, but if they make it right in a timely manner that is what is important to me. Mistakes happen. If they send this replacement fork out and expedite the shipping (not wait 50+ days) and it works, I'm okay with it.

Re: Tideace 2022 FS-AM831 Groupbuy C order with new Triangle
Of course, if you got any quality issue, feel free to contact me via email.

Eddy@haidelibicycle.com

Thanks.
Eddy

Hi Eddy,

I just sent you an email. I emailed you before but you just replied trying to sell me a new triangle. But you never addressed that you sent me a defective frame that has a problem with the bolts and bushing moving.

For your reference, the email I sent is below:

Quote
I have built my AM831 and have a problem. The rear triangle moves side to side even when bolts are tight on the upper bolt on the link. When I put my hand and I can move it and It makes a clicking noise and see where the bushing is moving. The bolt is fully tight. It  it should not do this. What can you do to help fix it? It is defective. Asking me to to pay for new triangle is not appropriate. The product is flawed. Please advise.

Re: BTLOS vs DiyCarbonBikes From what I hear, DIY's customer service is non existent. I had a friend wait 9 months for a frame and they wouldn't respond at all. The owner kept deflecting and making up lies about it. I've heard many poor reviews on MTBR as well. I've heard nothing but good about BTLOS, I have one friend with a great experience.  I personally use SpeedSafe wheels, but they are a true AliExpress company without a polished website or local reps.

Re: Tideace 2022 FS-AM831 Groupbuy C order with new Triangle
Why? Are you hoping that between the two frames you will have enough functional pieces to have one good frame?
Because that's not really a given.

I dont I just wanted to see if Eddy was monitoring this thread, easy enough. So Eddy how about answering Snacks? What are you doing to fix his bike? Is he getting a new one?

Re: BTLOS vs DiyCarbonBikes Specs on the BTLOS wheels looks much better — I’ve had plenty of trouble with Novatec (esp. the freehubs), and none with Bitex. Then there’s the superior spokes, among other things.

Too bad they don’t appear to offer 32H wheels with the Bitex 212 (centerlock), I’d be very interested in that.

Re: Any chinese frames using high modulus carbon like the real Specialized frames? UHM or high % of HM / UHM fibers generally isn't desirable anyway, as it produces an incredibly stiff, brittle frame.  The really lightweight stuff usually uses less material and a mix of T700 & T800 or equivalents, but because they use less material they're often rather noodly and flexy, like the Aethos or worse the O2 VAM.

Dizo is interesting due to the dyneema ... It should make steerer failures much less likely, as well as shock absorption properties.

Also I'd never heard of Dizo ... They seem to be operating in Japan but made and designed in TW.  Any more info about them? The Epic Pro is also the only frame I've seen where they show a visual representation of how Geo differs on all the sizes.

Re: IIIPRO Hydro/Mech Calipers The new BR-05 was jointly developed between Onirii and IIIPRO (also sold as the ZRACE BR-005). Do not buy the ones in your link, they are some kind of older iteration that won't work as well. Neither brand are related to Juin btw, you have the Zoom HB105 which is a copy of the Juin F1 but is definitely not the real thing.

My new LCFS958 - StefanB For two years ago I built a LCFS958 to replace my Merida ONE-TWENTY 800 trailbike. I  have been very happy with my LCFS958.

Last year I built myself a LCFS947 endurobike and this bike had other qualities. More stable descending and better on technical climbs. But it is heavier and fells slower.

The LCFS frame is from 2019 and reach has increased on all bikes the last years. My LCFS958 was in size L with 140 mm fork and a reach of 470 mm. If i build a new one in size XL and 150 mm fork it  will be slacker and with a reach of 500 mm.

So I sold my old LCFS958, ordered a new frame, painted, and built my new bike. I have to adjust the brakes and gears, maybe shorten the chain But a first test-ride is close.
