Wing & Carbonda Taking the plunge into the world of Chinese carbon was interesting, to say the least. After much due diligence, I settled on the L FM936 & M FM1001 from Carbonda. I submitted my inquiry and Wing was quick to respond with pricing & general information as to how to conduct the transaction. Communication was superb throughout - including some potential "I might add 3rd, and 4th frame to the order" conversations - and I generally had a reply within 48-72 hours, if not sooner.

Frames arrived well packed, and without any issues, shipping holds, etc. Upon inspecting the frames I found the FM1001 was a L, not the M that was ordered - an easy enough mix-up when pulling orders from the inventory, so I'm not pointing blame/fault at anyone, these things happen.

I contacted Wing, who requested a few photos of the serial number and the small info tag on the inside of the headtube and corrected the mix-up almost immediately. A new M frame is being shipped out, and the L I currently have is repacked, and awaiting shipping tags. Wing said they would send me the tags, to ship to another US-based customer, as soon as they were ready.

As someone who's worked in the cycling industry, in several different roles, for nearly 30 years, I have to say that this is an outstanding example of customer service! As my current role dictates, I have various bikes built up to showcase a range of products, but I try to use bikes that aren't from the "Big-3" or other high visibility brands. Thanks to my experience with Wing & Carbonda, I will definitely be using their frames for my future "showcase" builds!

Re: Lexon GFX Carbon Gravel Bike Frame Build So I was offered a $30 refund to keep the fork, but the more I thought about it, the more I was upset with the customer service. No news on my end from 3/22 about a replacement, so I finalized my dispute with American Express. Hopefully I at least get my money back.

Sadly between DIYCarbonBikes and this Lexon vendor, I've really had bad luck with everyone except Peter at XMIPlay. Lets hope that my Velobuild is a little smoother, that shipped out today!

Re: BTLOS Wheels I have ordered 3 or 4 wheelsets from. Them 10-20 days was normal response time between order and shipment

The level of customization they are clearly being built to order

Some pandemic problems occur in that region in China at the moment as well so everything will take longer 20-30 days would not alarm me. I’m m currently waiting in another set myself as well

Re: My new LCFS958 - StefanB
How many different chiner frames have you built??

So far eight. 2*LCFS911, 2*LCFS958, 1*LCFS917, 1*LCFS713, 1*LCFS947 and soon finished with my AM831 :-)

Re: BTLOS Wheels Was curious and decided to build up a set.  Their site was very user friendly for choosing options to build your wheelset.

Re: Lexon GFX Carbon Gravel Bike Frame Build
I think he's asking if the bearings fit properly on the second fork they sent you. The one with the incorrect paint job. Or did you need a different bearing?

Yeah that's what I was curious about. Because the installed pic of the painted fork on the matte frame looks like there's still a decent gap between the chamfer and the lower bearing.

Re: L-TWOO RX 2x12 road groupset
Here's a new video showing the Wheel Top 1x12 wireless electronic MTB groupset in action. Rumors are pointing to Wheel Top revealing their road groupset this year.

And L-TWOO just dropped the companion app for their upcoming 1x wireless electromechanical MTB shifter. Not that exciting since it's just another Archer D1x/Cell NXS/XShifter-style implementation.

News on Sensah's electronic groupset and hydraulic brakes will come "after the Shanghai bike show" according to the comments section on this video

can't believe I missed this teaser of the Wheel Top road groupset

Re: Frame that accepts qr and thru axles? I don't think that'll work. The hub spacing is different on these wheels as well, so unless your wheelset already supports thru axles by switching the end caps, you'll need to get a new one.
