Re: Speeder Cycling SC-R55D
Just had a first ride outside, frame seems good, much more comfortable than my previous bike, although it could also be the wheels and tires, since 28mm tires when inflated are 30mm because of the 24mm internal width Issues i had building the bike. The front thru axle was too long, so when i tighten it all the way the wheel was wobbly, so i put a 2mm spacer for now until i get new axle. Brake mounts are faced but when i mounted the calipers i couldnt get discs not to rub in any position, i guess they are not parallel to the disc, i guess rubbing will stop after i use them for a bit, but i will go get the mounts faced. Weight without the clip on aero bars is 7.4kg(pedals, bottle cages, garmin mount included) https://ibb.co/vHPnqK2 January 07, 2025, 09:29:41 AM |

Finished my build a week ago! Photos (36) https://imgur.com/a/XSRoWzD Weighs 7.5kg / 16.5lb with pedals. Unholy mix of 11spd di2 ultegra rd, dura ace fd, grx shifters, and sram red crank with quarq pm. Light Bicycle WR65 wheels, latex tubes, GP5000 28mm Bars are Speeder SC-RH01 37/42cm. I've been using them for a year now and they're amazing. Perfect amount of flare, well made, carbon is super thick near the clamp, just the right amount of flex for me. +17deg zipp stem ![]() Ryet 3d-printed/carbon saddle (Pro Stealth shape) ZRace XG calipers Build notes:
Ride notes: Not much to say really, it's a road bike. Compared to a modern MTB with 65deg HT, they're basically all the same ![]() January 25, 2025, 11:14:06 AM |

Re: Speeder Cycling SC-R55D
Got my frameset painted up. Now I need to buy a groupset…. So far my wife hasn’t been too upset so I’ll call that a win!

Re: Speeder Cycling SC-R55D
Just about ready to take on a maiden (outside) voyage! Still playing with painting the bottle cages the same as the frame. There’s some small things to add still, but it’s currently 16.0 lbs, or something.something kg.

Re: Speeder Cycling SC-R55D
Put about 5000km on this frame, maybe about 2000 outside, 3000 on trainer Had a minor fall so i had to replace derailleur hanger and pulley cage, bike is fast, dont feel like the frame is holding me back. I do notice its a bit harsher on the front than any previous bike i had, not sure if its fork, handlebars or whatever else, but its not the end of the world March 23, 2025, 02:19:17 PM |

Re: Speeder Cycling SC-R55D
Here is my review : 1) Communication The messages were by mail only. Sometimes Justin answered within few hours but sometimes It was two or three days. I think that He is very busy. It is less easy to message him than some others sellers who use WhatsApp. However He answered to everything. 2) Production/shipping time Production time : 27 days Shipping time : 17 days The package was well protected but a little damaged. It was not the fault of Speeder Cycling but the fault of the shipping company. There was a little problem with the box but Justin solved the problem quickly. So +1 for his help. 3) Quality of the frame Inside was so smooth. The paint and clearcoat look very nice. Calipers were faced, no excess painting, same for the BB. Perfect bearing seats. It looks like a very high quality frame. To be honest, I was impress by the quality. 4) Accessories Spacers (FSA like) are also nice. There is a Di2 battery holder which is nice. 5) Handlebar I chose the 370 mm handlebar which is on their SC-R55D website. This handlebar is very stiff and inspires trust, no flex even during sprinting. 6) Build Everything was perfect. I aligned the break caliper in less than 5 minutes (for both). I installed the BB86 pressfit without any problem (thanks to @Serge for the advice of use Liqui Moly Grease). It seems that the handlebar can handle mechanic groupset. 7) Ride I installed the Ultegra Di2 groupset with the Tagoola Wheels. I won't make a review of the Ultegra because everybody know it ![]() The frame develop confidence. It is fast and confortable. My longest ride is only 60 km but I can not wait to make longer rides. Very stable above 60 km/h, I don't have any problem to climb. When I sprint (and thanks to the combo frame / Tagoola wheels / Ultegra) at 1000 W or a little more, there is no disc rubbing. ![]() I strongly recommand Speeder Cycling for the quality of the frame. You will not be disappointed. The frame has nothing to envy of a Giant Propel for exemple. It is not written Speciali*ed or Fac*or on the frame but It will be as fast or faster ![]() May 24, 2025, 09:52:45 AM |
