That looks great on there.

Am I reading correctly, you reused your olive and pin Sitar?
Or, are you saying, you obviously want to add it after going through the frame so it's not stuck down at the chainstay?

Since you are in the UK, you should look at Wiggle.com or merlincycles.com
I went with Shimano from merlincycles...they came moto style...I reversed and shortened them and didn't need to bleed them.
Also, I didn't get the yellow vice-block:  the plastic piece that holds your cable in a vice while you tap the 'needle' in
I found if I put some mineral oil on the 'needle', wrapped some tape on the hydraulic hose and then grabbed the hose where the tape was(1 to 1.25 inches down) with an adjustble pliers(so teeth/jaws graw it flatly and not one part of the tool)
I could hold the cable with the pliers, put the needle in the cable and use a hammer to tap it in.

are both your brakes IS mount?...if not, get new hose for front and run to the back...shorten the current back to work on the front with the adapter.
Try the adapter on your PM fork - you will find it will work there - set up differently then you have pictured.
If you transition from front to back...part of the PM gets in the way....now, do you cut a little away to make it fit?
I was in somewhat the same boat with some KCNC X7's...I decided on the easy route and got Shimano brakes.

To add:
They provide a preview through your ETSY account...that should help also.

I have used a company that makes one-off vinyl decals.
I have been happy with my results from them but hesitant to recommend in that they have been slow for me.
I happened upon them through ETSY - the company is Austin Sticker Company and only work via internet.
Talking to them the other day - had my downtube sticker redone with all caps(see image) - they can do 3 colors(they layer) but can't be too detailed.
You may send them your image/an image to see what they can do.
Pricing has been all over the place - $8 for 1 downtube side...current decals $15 for both side and couple of others.!?

I am saying you could keep your current drivetrain and drop a ring.
This site's founder Sitar did it this way.

Interesting on the XTR m9000
Going to be interesting to hear your thoughts on it.
What made you go that way?
Last I looked, nobody has it for sale yet, lot of vendors showing it...I guess to build interest/preorders.

CD, an 11th might be that XX1 does 28 vs. 30 is the smallest on XTR.

This kind of stuff is great and maybe should have it's own category.

I did clips for road biking but not for mountain biking.
The tight, rocky trails here  in the central Texas(Austin) area are rough on the body and I 'feel' I need to be on pedals...plus I am more all around riding.
I can see where any trail where there isn't much technical would work for clips.

Component Deals & Selection / XX1/X01 vs. 1x10/1x9
« on: August 05, 2014, 03:38:04 PM »
It seems the XX1/XO1 are the desired drive trains these days.
Since those have come out many players have stepped up with alternatives to those.
Are the alternatives as good, or better yet, close to the qualities of the XX1 and XO1 drivetrains?
I am thinking cost, weight and performance.
From Vipassana, the weight of an XO1 is roughly 1213grams and costs ? ....roughly 900.00 +   performance: what all the others strive for
Any comparable set would probably keep the crank as those are roughly 270.00 - any other lightweight crank would just blow the budget
So, from there, the build out would probably be XTR from Shimano and X9, XO or more likely XX from SRAM
I will add to this later as I put some numbers together...but initial look, hard to beat XO1/XX1

Looks like the blue/orange needs to switch the stem and grips to the black/white bike
Otherwise, it is really cool to see the creativity put into these chiner frames....and ya'lls look great

Interestinly, the shifter and rear derailleur are heavier than I would have thought...you didn't happen to weigh the whole xo1 package did you?
I'll start a new thread on that.
Thanks for posting.

When do you clip in?
Are those clipins hard to ride without being clipped in - yours look barly bigger than the pedal axle?

question regarding your fall - was part of the issue/fall from your clipless spd's?  Meaning did they contribute?

On the downtube - some have been using heavy duty tape? or vinyl protection in that area
I think carbon_dude or somebody was using a 3M product
