March 9th- asked about tracking and was told a tracking number would be supplied when shipped
March 21st- asked for an update or expected date of shipping...have not heard back. All emails had been replied to within 24 hours up until this point.

Is this a normal timeline with all the shipping issues or is it time to get concerned?

On the bright side, you seem to have the bearing issue fixed! lol!

But oh man...thats pretty terrible service. I don't blame you for losing all excitement for this build. I'll make sure to not give them my business if I build a gravel frame. Thanks for sharing your experience.

29er / Re: Welcome to Chinertown - Introduce Yourself!

Guess I should formally introduce myself.

Hi, I'm David from Texas.
I've ridden a few Chinese carbon road bikes and wheels, but switched to mountain biking due to pretty terrible drivers in my area. After doing lots of maths, crashes and research, I'm fairly certain I'll be sticking to alloy frames.  ;D
However, I did just pull the trigger on some BTLOS carbon wheels for my mtb.

I'm also now toying with the idea of a carbon frame to settle my gravel curiosity. Thanks to everyone who contributes to this site!

Cautiously optimistic about Sensah's hydraulic levers. Expecting first run to have some issues, but Sensah has been good about fixing and replacing their mistakes.

Thanks for the input! I’ve heard about the shifters being the same. I wonder if the SRX lever can just be modified to work with 2x or if getting empire shifter is easier.

Thanks for the heads up on that group!

No clutch on the rear mech, but it does have an adjustable spring tensioner that should help mitigate chain slap. Don’t think the empire mech has that.

Does anyone know if Sensah SRX can be run 2x? Could I use Empire shifters with the SRX rear mech?

Vendor Discussion & Reviews / Re: SUNRIMOON Helmets
« on: March 10, 2022, 01:37:23 PM »
Lol. Fair enough. I’m not sure what an attractive helmet looks like anyways.

Maybe something in a more conventional road design?

Yeah I'd probably go with that. I'm not racing so aero doesn't matter much to me. I like a helmet to be so comfortable that I forget I'm wearing it. Weight, size, and retention systems are my priorities.

I think they both look terrible, so I'd go with whichever provides more ventilation.

Comfort is also a significant factor when it comes to helmets. The fancy retention systems help those with oddly shaped or small noggins. At that price-point there are a ton of better options online Nashbar, performance bicycle, etc.

But if you're buying just out of curiosity to see whats available from China, I'd be interested to see your review.  8)

Component Deals & Selection / BTLOS Wheels
« on: March 03, 2022, 10:16:32 AM »
Finally pulled the trigger on some BTLOS wheels after a few months of research. Found a coupon that took $80 bucks off their already reasonably priced wheels. Couldn't pass up on that deal!!! Just thought I'd pass it along if anyone else is looking for wheels.

*Coupon is now expired*
I'll update this thread with the rest of the process.
