29r carbon xc race hardtail
« on: February 14, 2021, 01:41:38 PM »
Hi,

I'm looking to go a size up with my hardtail. Can anyone recommend a chinese one to replace my Rose mr big?

I've done a couple of road bike builds, I have a Hong fu FM008 & an FM088. I'm pretty pleased with both of them.

This is my first post, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Here is one I will build soon for a friend: http://www.flybike-asia.com/product/175.html
It is sold by carbonda, they had S and M in stock before the Chinese holidays( they are still closed for a week).

Thanks carbonazza.

Have you built on of these before? I don't see a seat tube diameter mentioned, I'd like to fit a dropper post. Is it a boost frame??

Am I correct in thinking you can fit your 142mm wheels in a boost frame using adaptors?

The conversion kit isn't specific for a hub brand.
Like this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000663614752.html
These are two 3mm washers, and move the disc brake 3mm outward.
Don't loose the washers if dismantle the wheel in the woods ;)

this one is for centerlock:

No. But many of that brand.

Probably boost, and didn't check the seat tube diameter yet  :(
We'll need to wait when they open the shop again to know this.

Good to know my wheels aren't going to be rendered obsolete. Especially as I've recently found some kind of standardisation again. Ive been sharing my far sports race mtb hoops with the road bike of late.

Thanks again.
