Novatec D771 / D772

Can someone please review these ? Or are dt swiss a better option?

IMO, DT Swiss are the gold standard for hubs but cost a bit more than Novatec hubs.  I've owned DT Swiss 240 and currently have a wheelset with 350 hubs.  I prefer the DT Swiss star ratchet free hub system over the more common pawl system that is in most other bubs.  The star ratchet is a solid, reliable design, that's very easy to maintain.

I've not owned a set of Novatec hubs but I believe complaints are rare.  Several forum members have ordered wheelsets with Novatec hubs.  They appear to be a good hub for the money, Hope Pro are another popular option as well.

I have some wheels ordered with Novatec.  I got 29er with 25x30 rims for my first set.  I'll probably get some DT swiss for the next set, or build my own with something boutique after the new year. 

I probably won't have the bike built until first of October, but once I do I will definitely give some reports.   Water, sand and mud are going to be real tests for me here, I'm in Southwest Florida and we've had twice the rainfall this year.  It will be interesting to see how often these hubs will need work.

Never tried 771/772 but I own 711/712. Not sure what the difference is! When I had to order some replacement Boost hubs I picked the same, because they are great and light and cheap hubs. The additional benefit is that I could also reuse the spokes! 50€ saved on spokes!
As I had mentioned before, DT have to be better, but I saved on hubs (to buy expensive Eagle drive train) as there is nothing I want to change with my current hubs. They do the job. They never caused any pain.

The 711/712 is the QR version (not convertable), the 771/771 s the ThruAxle version (and convertable to QR). They're the same weight. The 771/772 costs 20$ more.
I've got the 771/772 and still don't have any issues after two years.
