Aggressive Hardcore Hardtail
« on: February 16, 2020, 02:43:23 AM »
Hi Guys,

Anyone knows if there is any China build carbon hardcore hardtail frame? With aggressive geometry, example like Diamondback Sync'r Carbon, Kona Big Honzo CR, Specialized Fuse Alu 2020 or Marin San Quentin Alu?
I have been searching but only able to find in XC geometry frame.
Do share if there is any out there?

Thank you

Been looking for this as well. Slack 66 degree front end, long TT, short stays. Made for 140-160mm forks. Rowdy enduro hardtail.
Plenty of budget alloy and crmo options, mostly from Europe. As well as the very expensive mainstream brands, SC, Spec, etc.
Any luck?

goyo46, so far no luck. Other than steel and cromo, I do find titanium from Kingdom Vendetta and Nordest Bardino. Sonder Transmitter, SC Chameleon, Kona Big Honzo and Diamondback Sync'r are available in carbon with aggressive geometry in the current market.
I did not see any Transition Throttle carbon hardtail in their website anymore.

Still no luck? I'm also looking for a 460-470mm reach 67 degree head angle frame to build into a flat bar gravel bike.

Nothing in carbon that I've seen. Ragley Big Al or Marley aluminum frames are quite nice and go for $300 though.

Might build up a lc908. I think it would make a good gravel/monstercross bike.

Seem like Evil Bike model Chamois Hagar should be the new upcoming carbon gravel bike trend, is a forward geometry with mountain bike gene in it. Hopefully, china production can come out something similar.

I have been asking Sumi from Walty about creating a titanium bike intended for all rounder, fast and capable for street commuting, adventure and off road gravel bike. Based on Norco Indie 2020 model, a forward geometry for city urban with mountain bike background, some minor change in head tube angle with slacker 68.5 degree and shorten chainstay to 440mm. tapered head tube, 142x12 rear.
Featuring 27.5" high volume fast rolling tire, 30.9 internal route dropper post, a more upright position with a surly sunrise handlebar, either with a rigid carbon gravel fork or a gravel suspension fork. SR SUNTOUR GRV gravel suspension will be available soon later of this year which is about $300 cheaper than FOX AX suspension fork.

Interesting ! Let us know how it goes, it would be great to have Ti bike builds more often, and as well to know if Walty is a reliable direct provider.
