My big long feedback on YKYW Stuff. For reference, I am 180 cm 80-74 kg (depends on the season), longish legs, prefer race or snug fit.
1. Legendary YKYW bib shorts
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006843262867.htmlThe pad is great, the fit is good everywhere EXCEPT elastic collars on the bottom. I ordered size EU M and have quite bulky hips but I am not too heavy. Expected it to stretch a bit, but no! It is almost impossible to bend my leg in those. Ordered EU L and it is much better, but now the shorts are not as snug as I expected. Still like them a lot, 9/10 but watch out if you have muscular legs.
2. Short sleeve summer jersey
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009087318056.htmlBy mistake ordered EU L instead of M, but I already get the idea how M would fit. Not as breathable as I expected, way to long on the torso, hence it tends to fold on chest and belly. Fit is not too racy but OK for the price. 6/10
3. Long sleeve winter jersey
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004930149820.htmlSize EU M. Overall very well made, the material is light micro fleece which is comfortable for up to -5 (humidity ~85% with layers). The fit is weird but tolerable - very long sleeves which are not too tight at the end, long on the torso, snug on the chest. 7/10 and good if you are on the budget but need winter clothing.
4. Winter gloves
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008263747612.htmlTrue to size (M). They are quite comfortable and padding is placed surprisingly well. However, THEY ARE NOT wind/waterproof. Inner lining is made of fleece with upper is some sort of hardshell material (neoprene maybe?), not too stretchy. Not breathable and get wet very fast in bad weather. If the weather is dry, they retain warmth quite well, especially if you add merino liners. Works well for my Reunaud's hands with liners for up to 0 degrees and 2 hours ride. 7/10 and is a good choice if you are tight on the budget. If you have really cold hands and planing for a long ride I suggest to invest in some high value winter gloves (MAAP, Fingerscrossed).
5. Mid season gloves
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005042856855.htmlTrue to size (M). Again, not weatherproof, no padding (like it) but quite stretchy and grippy. Good for mid autumn rides, 8/10.
6. Light balaclava
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009989944969.htmlGood materials, but execution is meh. The cutout for eyes/face is too wide, so when you cover your mouth it does not provide protection for the ears at all. The cutout has to be stitched a bit to work properly, then it is fine. 6/10 because it requires some homework.
7. Winter Tights
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004731530310.htmlSize EU L. Padding is good and the same as for the shorts. Again, they are NOT WEATHERPROOF. Same material as for winter gloves, has some water repellent properties but under the slightest rain they absorb water really fast, legs are getting too hot too. The placing of the panels are all over the place: gigantic pieces of fabric all over the front of the leg combined with not stretchy material restrict leg movement in front and sags on the back, creates tremendous amount of wrinkles all over the leg which is not acceptable for lycra-ish clothing. The bottoms have zippers and way too relaxed and short in the ankle area. As expected, they to provide little to no wind protection in case you are running short shoes despite all the windstopper material. Could be good if they tried them in real life and properly placed stretchy fabrique in the right places. 3/10, buy only if you in desperate need for cheaper winter tights, but I would recommend to pay 100 EUR (or even less) for Van Rysels.
8. Summer gloves
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002711419366.htmlSize M, fit well but have pressure point between thumb and point finger. They work well but I prefer thinner or no padding, 7/10.
