Computer mount compatible for Lezyne devices?
« on: August 22, 2021, 05:12:54 AM »
I use a Lezyne Super GPS Enhanced device; satisfied with it so far. But the mounts are breaking quite frequently. Now I as k myself whether there are mounts available for those devices from China suppliers as well... Garmin, Wahoo etc are quite common and available. But I had no luck so far for Lezyne. By chance someone knows a supplier?

My xoss has the same as a garmin mount so i use a garmin mount.

Yours likely has a mount the same as other brands whether it be garmin wahoo or cateye.

Do some research and youll probably come to find some information :)

Thanks for the hint! In fact Lezyne has it's own mounting interface, different from the "big players".

Would an adaptor like https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/292873071470 work? To be clear I have never ordered from this source, it was just the first relevant search result.

Thanks! I jsut ask myself why I did not find it... maybe because it is only available in the UK. Sadly considering shupping and customs it is double the price of an original Lezyne mount but still only the adaptor to a Garmin mount :-/

Ah! That's a huge shame. Yes, I thought that since there are plenty of Garmin mounts on aliexpress, a Lezyne to Garmin adapter would be useful. Definitely not worth it when including shipping and customs!

Maybe you could purchase a 3D file of a Lezyne mount with Lezyne interface from the ebay seller and find a 3D printer service in your country?

On my road/gravel bike, I have an alloy forward mount for my lezyne device. It's held up to one bad crash so far. :)

I have a composite on the bikepacking rig and the mtb, which has been fine so far. (yes, some crashes too)

I also like the simple o-ring mounting kit, which I've had right on the stem.

This is all very light stuff, shouldnt be expensive to ship inernationally.

Are those the original Lezyne mounts? This alloy one; which one is it? Can you share a link possibly?
I have the O ring mount types which come in the box together with with the computer and the forward mount composite ones; 5 in total. On all of them the diagonal part which serves as a spring to keep the cmputer tightly is broken.

Thes do not share the models... because they cannot guarantee the print quality then. Understood...

Oh, I haven't seen that one before! Great, thanks for the hint! " replaceable Composite Matrix X-Lock insert" sounds like they are aware of the weak point...

I'ver run into the same issue with Lezyne mounts.  On my gravel bike I run the o-ring mount on the stem.  It's been alright.  It does seem a little jiggly and I'll have to see if the flexy cross piece is stressing.

On my fatbike the stem is way too short to fit the o-ring mount.  so I used the O-ring mount onto a cateye stem mount and it fits.  This the the cateye mount I'm talking about

On my full suspension bike the stem is just slightly too short.  On this one I use a cateye k-edge adjustable stem mount that I 3d printed an adapter that I screwed this barfly adapter into.  This one is awesome because it eliminates the flex piece that breaks with a spring loaded cone.

I lost this thread a little bit out of sight... but this post is very helpful, thanks! The Barfly option looks promising; I need to check how I can get that in Germany...
