Gorilla Brakes pads
« on: October 10, 2021, 03:23:00 PM »
Anyone have any experience with Gorilla Brake pads? I'm looking to for new pads for my mountain, road, and gravel bikes, and their pricing is good. Only catch is the flat rate shipping to the US, so I'd need to order a few pairs for it to make sense. I've been running Shimano organic pads and the performance is good for how I ride.

Any other recommendations for inexpensive but good pads?

How is the durability and reliability of those ?
Do they make noise ?
How do they perform in wet condition and also do they make noise ?

All pads I have tried, branded and unbranded make noise when wet until they get hot.
And some make noise permanently, probably when polluted.
Do you know some brands that never make noise ?

I bought a set of these COOMA pads to replace my Shimano LO3A pads https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000236194302.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.442e4c4dZU0mxF

On the road bike I only have them in the front and paired with a Deckas rotor. They work well, a bit noisier than the Shimano ones. Maybe they need to be adjusted, not sure. On the gravel bike I have them in the back paired with a centerlock Shimano rotor, they work well and are quiet.

Would be interested in trying out the Gorilla pads next.

Gorilla pads are great, been running them for years with consistent performance.
