At first I also tried from the back following the plastic liner but there was a hard stop. So I thought there might be a bend so I tried the other way, from the BB and that's when it got stuck.

stuck? As in you cant get the cable out of there any more?

The passage is very narrow and a real pain in butt but I managed to do it also. Stay patient,. change angles and 'push and pull' at the same time. I wouldnt worry about damaging it too much. Stay patient

Yes, the routing kit cable (with the magnet on it) is stuck inside the chain-stay. I've tried every direction with the magnet and it won't move. I have tried pulling on it pretty hard but not full force because I don't wanna accidentally burrow the cable deeper if it's caught on something. Unsure how it could get that stuck, I was guiding it using the magnet and then suddenly, boom, stuck and I couldn't back out.

Just to clarify, the routing tool + the rear derailleur cable housing is stuck inside the drive side chainstay? Is your bottom bracket installed? If it is, take it off and see if you can wiggle the cable out of the chain stay from the BB opening. As a last resort, you can use a metal clothes hanger to see if you can fish it out. Just be careful though, you don't want the clothes hanger stuck in there as well! In fact I keep a clothes hanger wire and a paper clip as one of my frame building tools for situations like this!   

Saying that, the G056/RF25 was actually my easiest bike build, I had very little issues building this frame out.

In my case the outer casing was a bit tricky to get through the exit hole at the end of the chainstay, as I routed from the headset using the thin guides they include in the frames.
I solved this by running the inner cable in the casing (while it was in the frame) and making it exit first, so I could use it to guide the casing end through the exit hole

I cut the steerer tube a couple mm too long and I have headset play 
What would be the easiest way to fix it, hopefully without removing all the internally routed cables? Filing it down or trying to attach the cutting guide where the stem sits and cutting the extra without taking the fork down?

I would recommend the latter. Having another person there to hold the handlebar and keep the cables out of the way would be beneficial. Also lie the bike down sideways (on the grass or a towel) and cut vertically. Do not try to cut horizontally with the bike standing because even with the guide, the saw will drift within the guide and it will be come difficult to cut and you will end up with a crooked cut.

I believe there is a carbon join on the drive side seat stay which is where the outer can get snagged. I always feed in from the derailleur end and invariably will hit a block but after a few tries it gets through with no issues.

In your case, I would try feeding a cable outer from the derailleur end and see if you can work it through (try positioning the frame at different angles and even upside down) and see if you can dislodge the magnet that way. Perhaps even have another person gently pulling at the magnet while you push with the outer.

Here it is! My first bike build ever

Ceccotti RF 25 in size L, chameleon glossy paint, 7.85 kg (without pedals) x 1380 €

I've been sourcing parts from months, waiting for offers and price drops, as well as doing a lot of reading and studying, and I'm now really satisfied with how it turned out, and how much I learnt in the process.
I wasn't fast as I never did anything similar, but I had no major problems, just a few things that demanded their fair amount of time: above all sanding down the compression ring (it left a thick gap above the frame) and cleaning the bottom bracket threads from paint overspray.

I ended up putting some 30c road slicks on my G056/RF25 frameset to give it a more road-like feel. I'm thinking of just keeping this bike more as a casual climb ready 1x road bike.

As expected, the seller have not helped at all. A week of telling them the same thing over and over and we're still on square 1.

Any advice? I guess I could shove a coat hanger in there but unsure what to do next. I'm so confused to what the cable could have gotten stuck on.

Just get the coat hanger and fish that cable out. That's my last resort tool for issues like this.

For future reference, if a chain stay and BB area has ample room, I would just use the plastic cable sleeve to guide the RD cable through. For the RF25/G056 frame, I don't even think I bothered with the magnetic cable tool.
