I've experienced this and honestly you pay what you get with $2 sunglasses especially. Not only are the hinges the weak points, the fitment isn't that great because a lack of tension in the arms. My uneducated opinion is probably that the lenses aren't expensive to make (since it's just a type of plastic - polycarbonate that blocks UV) - but rather the cost goes into the build quality and tolerances.

I ordered a 100% clone last summer which was more pricey (was like $15??? I don't remember). Build quality is absolutely rock solid and came with spare lenses. Rubber pads on the arms and less flimsy nose-pads. Haven't had a problem since then.
That's the motto of buying chinese stuff - don't get the cheapest garbage, get something quite more expensive yet 2-4 times cheaper than big brands.

Never heard of this brand before but curious to try them with the price of tubeless tires continuing to climb.

Do you know the feeling of having a revelation? I saw the price of the Ultegra groupset (without the crankset) on Alix with the code and payment via PayPal https://it.aliexpress.com/item/1005009369918143.html and I realized I made a mistake by buying the 105 Di2 and then getting the Magene P515 crankset, you could get a ultegra one for like 700€

If I had bought this one, I would have saved up for a better groupset :(

Came across a small brand named Megacarbon, who had some nice G3 / 2:1-laced Campagnolo-style laced wheels. Went and got the premium offering of theirs for a total of 525 dollars delivered, not caught in customs.

Build quality is class, it's got a Ratchet style hub, and they came readily taped with DT swiss brand tape. Weight around 1320g. Really impressive stuff.

They have a cheaper version as well that you can get in for less than 400 dollars here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005010044244988.html

Also came across the very fake-sounding "Qora", not Bora, in a similar style here. Looks very stylish from the pictures at least. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005011793036053.html

Now i know G3 lacing might be utterly stupid for a front wheel but i'll give these things a bit of travel this season and we shall see how well they hold up.

I've been using a set since November and they've survived the British winter just fine. They seem well built.

Does anyone have any tried-and-tested good front lights for a road bike? Something similar to the Bontrager Flare (I’m mainly referring to the size and brightness).

Has anyone picked up this Wuzei 3-bolt carbon titanium crankset? It's not the lightest carbon/ti crankset, but the price seems decent. I think Trace Velo reviewed it, but his issue was more with the 2x chainring, no issues with the crankset itself.

Paired with a decent 3-bolt power meter and good chainrings (Shimano 2x or just run 1x), it should work fine.

Got it in the 8 bolt version. The axle is long for shimano 2x IMO. And the chainring is little wobbly. can't identify if it¨s the crank or chainring. other than that it's ok
