does anyone know of any solution similar to 12speed garage door opener?
I expected to have seen something in Ali by now, but no sign... I find the product really well thought, but being outside the US and with exchange rates the 'original' option is not feasible
I have tried to make something similar a while ago. If you can solder a bit you can make it quite easily I think.
I bought one of those tiny universal remotes from Ali. Sadly enough it did not sync/connect with my gate so that's where my experiment ended...
You can open up the remote and you will find a small and narrow PCB inside. This will easily fit inside you handlebar. I then wanted to solder a waterproof push button to one of the buttons of the remote (with about 15cm of wire) and integrate that button in an end cap.

Should be doable if the remote works with your gate. I have a rolling code gate, so I guess that's where the problem is. But the reviews of the remote are fairly positive, so you might be in luck.

I've had good luck with the generic clear helicopter tape for quick dirty protection.

If you want a fitted kit to really wrap a frame and make it pretty, I would spend real money for a kit that has been meticulously designed for your frame. The difference between a frame specific wrap kit and a generic one is huge.

I agree with this but the price difference is massive. I have been using generic stuff for ages and works well. I've not removed it from any frames to which it is applied but I cut lengths of tape onto parchment paper then used a scalpel to cut the pieces nicely. Came out okay, definitely not like an Invisiframe kit though.

I use standard automotive protection film from amazon. It's like <30 EUR for 30x200cm or so. I cut it to the size I need and the 30x200 lasts for ages... I apply it with water and a hairdryer.

What's the recent consensus on the best lightweight seatpost on AliExpress? Need a new one for the road bike.

Elitaone seems popular

Anyone has decent front and rear racks located in China? Ideally something similar to the tailfin or the ortlieb quick rack? I tried to ping some sellers letting them know I have a few potential interested buyers and they did not seem to care. Sometimes they have such a lack of vision to listen to the market ... Same as with the (lack) of endurance frames.

Somewhat peculiar. I'm looking for white colored stem (not polished silver) but can't find it. Kalloy Uno has silver ones and on eBay I found a single listing for white Uno stem not sure if it's white from factory or was painted over. I know Aliex search can be very difficult to get to specific item and would appreciate if anyone can find white Uno stem?

I see a few white ones, but lots of logos on them.

hello, ive been buying 9 speed ybn chains but I was wondering if anyone had a link for legit 11-12 speed shimano chains, I am confused which shimano chains are real or not as some do not come with quicklinks and they are supposed to be packaged seperately and sometimes the reviews say that they are real. Or should I completely stay away from shimano chains, what other chains are good alternative apart from YBN?

KMC seems to be a popular choice

For genuine Shimano chains visit your local shop. For bootleg Shimano chains go for Aliexpress.

And be careful, a bad chain can also ruin a cassette because of the premature stretching... So it can become very costly. Been there, done that... 1000km and my chain and cassette were ruined.

That ABR one looks new, thanks! I did notice the TMAEX branded stuff - they have white handlebars, seatposts and combined packages too. Never saw anyone here mention that brand though. I might just get that Uno stem from eBay I guess. Those logos are over the top.

The only chain I've ever snapped was a bootleg Shimano Ultegra. Use with caution
YMMV etc

+1 for buying Helicopter tape, trimming it to size and shape then using sprayed water and hair dryer to position it. I've got some matt stuff on a Canyon since 2012 and its still great.
I get mine from from in-country sellers through Ebay as they often say how thick the tape is (and I can be impatient).

LTwoo EGR 1x12 group is straight up $350, no coupons to apply. That's cheaper than it was after coupons during anniversary sale.

BUT, the official LTWoo store is a pain to deal with.
