From what i could gather its only sold on alixpress and one listing in shopee. I'm quite interested in the frame as its unique enough and choice for some reason. You dont see a cast magnesium frame frequently.

It certainly is a quirky conversation piece and I totally get buying odd stuff just for it being odd stuff.

I believe cast mg frames have been done in the 90s (or 80s?) and were already a bad idea back than with regard to both manufacturing and functional aspects of the product itself ... or an experiment, we could say, the nothing-ventured-nothing-gained kind of bold move.

Vaast bikes currently makes magnesium bikes. Their gravel model comes with pretty crazy looking drive side chainstay. Almost makes me want one. $1300 for the frameset. Not terrible for novelty.

Adding titanium and lithium to Mg can make it on par with steel in strength but the corrosion is not addressed. I was interested in this frame as it was cheap(under 100€), almost perfectly sized and in my area nobody owns a modern looking any bike. Wouldve humbled my middle of nowhere bikeshop again.
On the other hand did a qick weight calculation and it came to be around 13.6kg, fat af.

I stopped buying chains from Ali. Every chain I get ends up being trash. I now just stick to legit Shimano or SRAM chains.

Yeah, you can get decent chains for 14-20€ from SRAM and Shimano, so why risk getting scammed?

Newbie Bike Store sells legit shimano chains for cheap. Those guys are authorised shimano merchants. At first i thought that they sold me a fake chain since my deore 12 speed chain started to rust. Then i realized that i go on a road regurarly that have a lot of iron dust on it. Cleaned the chain properly and the rusty spots are gone, around 1200km on the chain and no issues.

Buying KMC chains for quite some time and YBN of late. No issues with either. If those are fakes, that's some damn good quality fake.

Do YBN last? I have bought PYC chains from Ali which are supposed to be good, but have heard most Ali chains are junk that don't last.

Installed them on couple of bikes this year and haven't heard any issues with them from the owners (friends/family). Personally I have it on one bike but only about 900 miles and didn't notice any rapid wear. YBN was purchased after good reviews about them here and elsewhere, otherwise I stick to proven KMC whose black/silver color looks better to me.

I've been buying only Ali chains for about 3yrs.. KMC seems legit, as long as you buy from the right stores, I went through 3 chains which lasted around 8-9.000km on my Tiagra 10s
then I decided to try YBN, and it was working really well. I rode about 3.000km and the wear was minimal. Got a new bike so the 10S is now stored and for sale

oh, always keeping the chain clean, lubing each 150-200km at least, deep clean each 800-1000km
