Hi Guys, wish I didn't but I did. I broke my right leg (tibia & fibula) while on vacation last week. A pretty bad break too, looks like I'll need surgery on it to make sure everything heals properly. I will be glad to continue to give advice as I expect I will have plenty of time on the couch over the next few months. Thanks in advance for the well wishes.

That's a bummer! I hope you'll be on the mend soon.
How did it break?

I am so sorry CD. Do me a favor. Put the orange tabby on your lap, relax and take heart in the fact that this happened in the off season. You'll be back up and running before you know it. Stay active here on the forum....we love your input.
Andy.

Yep, sorry to hear it CD... Injuries SUCK! Whenever I get injured I always try to just take solace in the fact that it wasn't a spinal/neck injury. Your break def sounds painful.. but you'll come back to 100%!
Also.. details? Unless you don't wan't to share, which is totally understandable.

On top of the bone break. Not be able to ride for few months must hurt as well.
Take care and courage.

How did it break?
A combination of rum drinks on a cruise ship ?
As I said before (on FB), I hope it will heal without problems. Take you rest and get better soon.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. Hope you heal well and heal quickly!
I keep meaning to get up to Chicopee, but haven't made it yet.

No drinking at the time, the break happened while we were on a cruise in the Caribbean, no drinking was involved. Maybe if I had a few drinks I wouldn't have gotten hurt as badly. Surgery scheduled for Dec 22nd, this will be a Christmas to remember.

Do your PT!...
Dont cut corners.. push your insurance to get the maximum number of sessions you can get.
I had knee survery due to a fall on the bike. The doc and my PT was surprised at my recovery
With your activity level you should be back riding by spring with no issues..

^^ This man speaks the truth. Took me longer than it should have to recover from my knee surgery - The doc half assed my PT recommendations.

Surgery tomorrow to screw some metal bits into my leg bones. Hopefully I will be on my way to recovery after that.

Carbon or titanium screws ?
Good surgery. You will recover fast, you're a young and strong guy. Don't worry. Before you know, you're riding your bike again. Good luck.
