What sandpaper do you recommend using? 1000 grit?

The seller confirmed to me that it was a paint problem.

I was thinking of using it for a few days and monitoring the mark to see if it grows, would that make sense?

How do I know?

It's hard to explain, but if it is a flaw under the paint, the crack will be painted over and it will be uneven paint and not a crack in the paint.
If there is a problem with the insert the paint will have cracked.

Both will look different from up close.

Hi, I received the frame today. During inspection, I noticed this single flaw. Do you think it could be a serious structural issue, or is it just cracked paint around the thru-axle attachment?

I have similar defect too on my fork. I don't know when it did appear, but is there for more than 6000km and no issues. I discovered that when I did brake pad cleaning. Initially I thought that the insert had come loose and pulled carbon and paint together with it. It was not the case. The insert is still rock-solid inside and does not move. To test if it is carbon fracture you can try to thread the TA from the opposite side and do a gentle up and down movement to see if the crack "breathes" or if it moves together with the insert and TA. Mine did not move so it was just the clear coat chipping away probably due to multiple tightening of the TA.

Hi, here's my Model S assembled.

I'm waiting for the EliteWheels Ent 2.0 wheels; in the meantime, I've installed the old ones.

Do you think the headset is assembled correctly? I checked by braking the bike and pushing forward, and there's no movement.

There might be a little, but it's hard to tell if it's movement or another component making the noise (like the brakes).

Why does your spreadsheet list the frame at nearly $1600 USD? Shouldn’t it be about half that?

It includes the complete order from Hygge, in this case the frame and the UCI rims, as well as taxes and shipping.

Anyhow, I have no intention of attaching the an additional Go-Pro/Light to the computer mount. So... what options do I have available to me for an alternative back plate for the screws so it looks slim/flush, instead of this sticking out the bottom?
