Did you have the chance to weigh them? Looks like a decent type for dry and hard conditions.

Haha great question! Just bought a food scale and was delivered today.

584g and 585g

Keep in mind these are the race version, very thin side walls.

Didn’t get to paint yet, been a little busy, will start soon. Hoping to have it all painted this weekend. New from takeoff Sram GX AXS derailleur delivered today and bought a discounted Cricut to do some vinyl stickers. I’m not going to paint logos on the frame just in case at some I want to sell the frame down the road. Bunch more stuff getting delivered tomorrow.

UGH!! I underestimated how much spray paint I’ll need. I’ll need another set of primer, mid coat and topcoat. I’ll have the small arms and rocker arm done but I’ll have to wait on the body until I get more paint. Waiting on primer to cure so mid coat tomorrow.

Took me half the day to setup the canopy, attach the plastic walls, put the fan and filters in, and make the rack hanger. 2 trips to Home Depot because I didn’t have enough plastic. 3M respirator worked great, didn’t smell anything.

Got some base on and sanded. More purple than I was expecting, not too bad though. Once I get the clear on and buffed it’ll look amazing. More paint is on the way so I’ll get everything finished next week since I took the whole week off work.

The last pic is a gif, download it so you can see the color shift blue to purple.

Figures, this site needs to be updated big time…so many things outdated and just quirky.

I'll add an external link later today so it can actually be viewed.

How much material did you end up using for painting? Prices are a lot higher than I was expecting for the materials!

Paint

Raven Super Color Shift Bike Paint Kit https://thespraysource.com/products/raven-super-colorshift-bike-paint-kit
$214.95

Sanding Sponge

$8.30

Canopy Stuff

$23.37

2x Filtrete Filter https://www.walmart.com/ip/Filtrete-20x20x1-Clean-Living-Dust-Reduction-HVAC-Furnace-Air-Filter-300-MPR-1-Filter/10721098?athbdg=L1103&from=/search
$5.24

3.5mil Plastic Sheet 10'x25' https://www.homedepot.com/p/HDX-10-ft-x-25-ft-Clear-3-5-mil-Plastic-Sheeting-RSHD3510-25C/204711653
$14.98

So in total I've spent $272+

Also, this doesn't include buffing the paint which I already have the equipment and supplies.

You can always have the frame seller paint it for you for $50+ but your limited to colors and from what I've read a lot of people see there paint flaking.

I want to build every aspect of my bike myself, even the paint.
