I'm really struggling to work out the mechanics of that failure just riding along.

to me it looks like the top shock mount has too much leverage and it's effectively twisting the top tube.

Wasn’t you Specialf complaining about rear triangle extension when the frame arrived at your home? Which was almost stuck in its position when moved across its stroke?

yes, that was another flaw of this frame, but it has nothing to do with what happened to me.

Exactly, in my opinion, this is precisely the problem: the shock absorber, mounted so far from the down tube, creates a strong lever when the swingarm pushes, rotating the down tube.
If we look at other frames with that shape, they have all the mounts much closer to the down tube.
The down tube, among other things, has a very flat shape; it's wide but squashed, which makes it prone to squashing easily.

They claim it broke like other frames from well-known brands break

Consider that I was standing on the pedals when I hit the bump; the force and weight are drawn in orange.
The red arrows show the dynamics.
The top tube must support the "narrowing" between the saddle and the handlebars, but if the shock absorber hooks push to rotate it, the impact causes the whole thing to implode.
A DANGEROUS, POORLY engineered bicycle

they definitely undersized or underestimated the top tube.

Did you ask for a replacement?

No, fortunately this was a second frame that I received six months late due to their logistical problems, so I hadn't paid for it yet. Just think, when I wrote to them that it was broken, they asked me to pay for it. Terrible company, damn the day I decided to buy from them. I've been having problems for a year now, first the lost shipment, then they sent me a raw frame to paint, now that I received the right one, I assemble it and it breaks, and after a year, what do they do? They ask me for money. Crazy. I almost died, and for a year I've been assembling and disassembling it to the point of complete exhaustion.

can't believe this, they definitely fall in the list of bad and unresponsible vendors, in good company i see.
we have to stick with Carbonda and Lighcarbon in the end.
thanks for sharing your experience, it's so important and relevant for the community.

I'm in touch with Vivian, and he found out I'm posting here. He's either one of us users, or they have an account and follow the forum.
When he saw I posted photos of the broken frame, he told me to stop.
I don't even think about it; I don't want the bad experience I had to happen to anyone again.
They're only interested in business.
For someone who loves cycling, there's nothing worse; I really risked a lot.
I also asked him what the purpose of the tests they do is, and he replied by sending me videos. Those tests aren't done with weights of a few kilograms.
The real tests are done by us users. Wow, terrible.
I'll do a lot of publicity for this company throughout Europe and beyond.

Why you should stop, it is what it is: a broken frame, seller doesn't support at all, they should better use this as an opportunity to show they are responsive and honest people but it does not seem to be the case...
