I have bought the second one with 165mm cranks, it will arrive this week, hopefully it will have the updated bolt design.
I received mine last week from poland. have not yet installed it. How can I check which bolt was in the box - whats the difference?

Step 5: New bolt, two piece design. Fastened in two steps (7 and 8').
Previous design: one piece bolt that was used to preload the crank, became loose and fell of (at least in my case).

I assume this is the new version, right? At least the manual is the same one as you linked.

Check the preload screw if  this has second allen key hole inside.

One caveat, that this is the chinese version, and the pedal balance and smoothness requires payment, but I contacted the seller on aliexpress and sent the serial number and he activated within an hour, so I didn't have to pay for it.

Yes, both are the "new" bolt. It's not really new, they are shipping it like this since 1 year at least. Don't think the "one bolt" system does even exist anymore.
Slow on the climb. And everywhere else.

For me personally these metrics aren't really something i look at but i'd still expect to have them available for free. I would contact Magene via one of their aliexpress shops and they can probably unlock them for you.

I have contacted magene directly, hope they have a solution. If not I ll try with a reseller.

Does these settings have any huge impact while riding? Am completely new to this.

Which shop/link did you order from?! I only ever had ominous shops disappear on me that were selling obvious fakes. But never a big seller.

But no, these metrics don't matter a lot. Neither of them is something you will be looking at WHILE you are riding. And even after the ride, I have never checked pedal smoothness. L/R balance is nice to have but not super crucial. Except if you are very one-sided on your power. That might be an indicator that something else is amiss (bodily imbalance, leg length discrepancy, ill bike fit).
