Not sure I'd say less than half - a Shimano 105 lever + caliper set and Deore derailleur seems to be around $650 USD from the usual AliExpress vendors.
Very fair point. However I will say, new EGR appears (on spec sheet, at least) ~100g lighter than the RD-M6250 and has a slightly higher capacity battery (400mah vs 350mah).

Shimano is hot-swappable, though requires proprietary charger. Apparently you can never quite have it all!

Will this derailleur work with road di2 shifters?

Yes - fully cross compatible.

Does anyone know if the braking calipers are swappable with shimano or sram calipers?

I am using my eGR with a Shimano XT caliper up front because I have a post mount fork. No issues at all. Just make sure that the calipers you are intending to use are for mineral oil. Sram uses DOT fluid (I think the new mavens use mineral but generally it's DOT) and these are not compatible.

Im running the inverse, 105 shifters with LTWOO calipers and it works. Possibly a bit more than stock 105 calipers.

With coupon and PayPal discount, what could be had for $340 delivered to US, at that price it’s hard to pass. I went in a couple of weeks to early with my purchase…

Yes noticed that - similar price to Australia, very good deal. But I couldn't resist Shimano, using the same AliExpress coupons after the discussion here for the new build (just need to choose a frame now...)

R7170 shifters/calipers and full XT M8200 incl chain & cassette was 800USD delivered (will make some back by selling the XT shifter). About 300USD more than EGR with Shimano cassette & chain.

Next time for me with LTwoo!

Didn't realize the summer sale was this week! Could've saved about $80 on my egr if I waited.

I was about to pull a trigger on the eGR 2026 but found out that for now they just putting left lever with removed buttons instead of the new one showed on the ltwoo website.
I know that with my OCD that would piss me off every time I put a finger there.

New eGR arrived and I'm looking to pair with new 12s cassettes. Officially it says max 50t, but what are the odds it can do 51t?
For some reason 11-50t cassettes are way more expensive than 11-51.

I noticed this immediately as well. I like the look of the new shifter ergonomics but that little cutout is pure laziness on their part.
