When could it arrive in Italy?

I normally use https://parcelsapp.com/ to track my stuff from China, depending how it goes though it may get held up in customs or other issues.

Hi,

I've read the first view pages of this thread and the last 5 or so, but still there are some questions open for me.

1.) What size would you recommend for 184/86cm? My opinion is L
2.) It seems, that there are some different possibilities to order, what is the recommended one (or are the frames sold under different chinese brand names), I am a bit confused here (Tideace, TanTan, LongTeng, Seraph)
3.) Are there standard colours or how did you order a specific colour?

Thanks for clarification
Wolfgang

yes - several options - longteng/tideace/tantan ....
sizing - tbd.
colors - longteng at least use pantone colors. I mocked up what i wanted using a bare frame and gimp and sent it over, few back and forths and was ready to go

As Ken says, although my experience was with Tideace

Re size, I am 188 and have ordered 56cm L - I would say at 185 you would probably be the same.

Suppliers seem to be Longteng, TanTan (using Seraph brand name) and Tideace - Like I say, I ordered from Tideace.

Regarding colour schemes Tideace & Seraph have a good instagram presence for inspiration - Tideace on Youtube too. Again, for me there was some back & forth & then we were ready to go

I'm 188cm tall and I think my inseam is 88cm, I went with the L(56) also.

The same frame appears to be resold by a few companies, I'm not sure who actually manufactures it but that doesnt bother me too much, so long as its decent quality and price is right.

Tideace have standard colors to choose from on their website, they have some nice designs on their youtube channel and I chose the colors of my frame based on a classic race car

I own two Tideace frames and the paint jobs are very good. If you look at the comments on the Tantan (Seraph) paintjobs they fucked it up several times.

yes, Ireland. thats funny, our bikes are siblings :D
I got a DHL number from Alisa; there is a number on the box also which seems to list every airport it's been through so far, hong kong, amsterdam... but doesn't mention anything about Germany which is where the DHL packet says it was on tuesday.
Hope you get it soon. What are you planning on building it up with?

Tanatan shipped last Friday and told me it would take 5-7 days for the tracking number to start showing.

As of just now I can see its scan as showing its been picked up. Its certainly a patience game :)

Looks like you guys will get yours soon.

Seems I still have about 2 weeks to go. Order placed on 11 July so looks like about 2-1/2 months from date of order from Tantan currently.

Anyone here who has an "ice cracked paint" finish (https://tideacebike.com/pages/customization-color-choice)?

Sounds like your frame is 'imminent' - Look forward to seeing it! - My order was 11th August with Tideace. When I chased up yesterday was told it was "in the process of being glossed now" so will hopefully ship next week?

Yes - I have gone for an icecrack effect AND a fade green to white - The icecrack paint effect adds some time to the painting process which is understandable - So its about 1 month from order to being painted with the effect (in my case anyway)

Yes - I have F5 key worn out from refreshing the postage update page. Not hopeful it will get delivered today - current status from last night 10pm is "being sorted for delivery". Usually that shows as "out for delivery" the morning it will be delivered. Wonder if it's such a big box it needs to have more planning in terms of getting it loaded. Would be brilliant to have it here to build over the weekend rather than having to do it after work on mon/tues/wed
