There are two versions as far as I know, they do have some designs differences (main one being the method used for the computer mount attachment, 2 bolts vs 1)

I got the first one. They both have a 2cm flare between hoods and drops. I don't think it is always mentioned, so at the time I got the info from the guys already using it at my cycling club.

Does anyone run a GRX 1x setup with a Magene PES P515 powermeter? I'm going for this frame and just sourcing all other components. I'm a little bit confused, as sometimes an offset is mentioned to improve the chainline. I want to say Eddy is the man if you need a bike frame. I ordered my frame on the 3rd of March and it was painted and shipped on Monday and I got it on Wednesday. If that’s not fast service I don’t know what is.  Total 16 days from ordering it to my door.

I think you will have no problem with the 44T chainring, although the chainline you get with the Magene crankset may need to be adjusted a few millimetres with spacers.

I’ve just received my frame and started building it with Magene P515 cranks and Wuzei 44T chainring with 3 mm offset. Even having a 1 mm spacer on the drive side the gap between the chainring and the frame is extremely narrow, less than 1 mm.

What do you think, is it okay to ride like this, or should I add another spacer (is it safe?) or get another chainring?

I actually don’t have experience with a chainring this close but it’s just a bit of gravel or mud away from starting to eat into the paint. I’d add another.


This also kind of makes me consider a zero offset chainring if I go the 1xMagene route and live with the chainline.

What does it look like with a chain on it? My guess is that the chain will not even be able to get in there, will rub, or be very close to rubbing.

I designed a cover for the front derailleur mount for those going 1x. If you have access to a 3d printer you can make one yourself.

I also don't have a lot of space with a 42t, It mainly depends on the cranks and chainring configuration. I also had to put a spacer.

Ive a 44t (3mm offset) on 24mm spindle with xcaday powermeter, I needed to add 3mm spacer on drive side to have a sufficient gap for clearing chainstay. Pasquest make chain ring 110 bcd 0 offset chainring, maybe thats one to consider for needing less spacers.
