Speeder Cycling SC-R55D

I have my bike for over a year now and about 8000km. The bike is excellent with a couple of caveats. I've built a lot of chinese frames at this point (2 velobuilds, lightcarbon, spcycle) a this one is above all of them by a huge margin in terms of quality but it's a bit more expensive as well. Ive never owned any of the premium chinese frames so don't really know how it would compare.
some minor problems I've had are clear coat overspray in the headset that i had to clean up and a creaky seatpost. I haven't solved the seatpost problem completely and it keeps coming back. My saddle is set up almost as high as it can go so there's quite a bit of leverage that is contributing to creaking.
Not a huge fan of the handlebar too. Finish quality is fantastic but it's a little heavy in my opinion and a shape does not work for me: drops are too round and I can't find a comfy hand position, also not a fan of a short reach.
I switched from a super comfy endurance bike so the frameset felt quite harsh initially and I could not find a saddle that would work with this geo but this problem was solved since.

Frame is great. would buy again but without a cockpit

I use eva version of this https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/1005006016969601.html saddle. it's super cheap and super light at about 120g. I went though probably 10 different saddles before I found this one. I liked it so much that I now have one on all of my bikes.

Big thanks! Do you have any idea which cockpit you wouldve gone for instead? My problem is the reach of only 125 as well.

I actually bought this toseek handlebar https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/1005009467469501.html it's the same as a popular kocevlo cockpit but with a slightly different finish which I prefer. It's lighter than the original speeder cockpit and it's less than half the price (got it for 55$ during 11.11 sale). I never bothered to swap it though since I was too lazy to mess with the brake hoses and ended up using this cockpit on my gravel build.
max stem length for it is 120mm but it has 5mm longer reach than the speeder so the effective length is the same for the longest options.

Oh and one more thing about the speeder handlebar that is extremely annoying is that the "stem" part of the cockpit is very thick and the bottom part is angled upwards so when you mount a computer mount it's pointing up. I had to get an adjustable mount but they are all aluminium and heavy https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/1005006157561431.html

After lurking for a long while and contemplating between the SC-R55D and LTK266-D-SL I've decided to order the SC-R55D size 510 with BB86.5
Already have all of the parts in or ordered, once I get the frame and build the bike up I will drop an update to you all!

The frame has already been delivered!
Loved how well it was protected and packaged, unfortunately I've not been able to take a lot of photos yet but will do soon.

I do want to ask about a couple of fiber's showing up on the seat tube and ask your opinion on if it's something I should worry or not.

Looks bad tbh. Big shards of carbon not attached to the frame isn't good. The finish quality inside looks rough and bad.
But it's probably the pictures that make it look worse than it is.
I would take a video and send it to the seller.
Stating the obvious, but you can't have large loose shards of carbon in a frame, as these have zero structural integrity. Maybe what you're showing is bag residue or something, but I would reach out to the seller. How's the rest of the frame?

Yeah the photos do make it look a little bit worse than it is, but since it's right where the seat post goes in I'm a little bit more worried with the lack of structure, that and also this not being a cheap frame I was a little bit disappointed....

I did send the photos and this was the reply...
"This is quite common for hand-made carbon fiber frame, it doesn’t affect the assembly and structural strength.
You can go ahead and build it up to ride."

I'm going to try and get endoscope in today or tomorrow and I will share if I get any decent photos from it.
But it seems that the rest is good without imperfections.

For reference, my SC-R55D was very clean. Sorry for the bad picture but it is the only one I have where you can see the seatube.

Unfortunately my endoscope doesn't seem to have very good quality (I might try again tomorrow with more light and see if it helps with the quality).
But as you can see there's a big line of what seems to be resin and there's 3 or 4 spots where you can see there's some imperfections.
I know it's all based on terrible photos, but what would be your opinion?

Was able to take a couple more photos today.
There's a small patch (1771420271211.png) that I thought it was resin but was able to touch and it seems to be something else has it's moves around, maybe some carbon fibers or a rest of the bladder.

But all in all to me it seems to be all alright.

Rest of the frame looks super clean. As someone completely unqualified, you're probably fine. It's not like you ordered from tantan. Ride it, worst case, it cracks around the seat post, and you then get it replaced, just monitor the area.
I'd email the seller to mention that. saying that you expect them to honour the warranty if that questionable area ends up breaking.
i dont think it makes sense to try and get the frame replaced, it seems unreasonable.

Yeah, I 100% agree with you on that honestly I just wanted Speeder to maybe say something better than just "it's normal".
I will send them a message saying exactly that and will try to build the bike before the weekend!
