I am going to build up my ip-036 and i wanted to know how much you think it would weigh when finished. Here is the build

Fork- rockshox Sid 120mm       
Group set- X01.                                           
light-bicycle carbon wheel set.                   
frame- ip-036 carbon                                   
Rear shock- rockshox monarch rl               
Carbon handlebars 700 mm ,carbon 80mm stem ,carbon seatpost.           
Brakes- xtr race brakes

Hard to say for certain. Semi educated guess?? 26 pounds.

Very similar to my build which weighed 24 lbs, so your should be very close.

Dang, really? 24 pounds? That's light. Pretty awesome that you can build a carbon full suspension 29er at sub 25 pounds for a reasonable price point.

Take all the manufacturer weights and add them all together then add another 250g because they always lowball actual weights.

It will have 300 gram ish platform pedal(not sure which ones yet.
 It will also have maxis cross mark 29x2.25 which are 700grams

Are you going tubeless? if so Cafe Latex 50 - 60mm for a 29x2.25 saving around 100gm per wheel...

I've used Stan's and Orange Sealant, both worked well enough but if there is another better, cheaper option, I'm interested in hearing about it.

I have used Stans, Orange Seal, and Slime Pro.  Of those three Orange Seal sealed the best/quickest, and Slime Pro lasted the longest/dries the slowest.

So I have been setting up my tubeless (8 29er wheels and 4 fat bike wheels so far) with Orange Seal, but topping them off with Slime Pro as needed.  As long as you don't let it get all the way dried out this has resulted in no Stanimals, clumps or strings.  The only thing it has not sealed was a bad sidewall cut.

Edited to add: Sorry for the thread hijack.  I am going to say you will end up in the 24-25 lb. area.

You are the first I have seen actually using it.

I've used the caffelatex, it seemed okay until it mysteriously congealed inside one of my tires, leaving a rude smelling dark liquid and solid latex all over the inside of my tire. The dark liquid did nothing to seal the tire, and it took me a while to peel the thick latex skin off of the inside of the tire after I flatted on a ride.

The company was responsive to my question as to what the F*** happened, but had no clue. Stan's had never done that to me, so I went back to it.

With recent chatter about Orange Seal, I bought a 32oz container and we've been running that. During the winter, riding in the single digits (F) the Orange Seal froze up solid. Something Stan's never did to us.

Since I just used up the last of the Orange Seal bottle, I went online to order up more - and saw a price of $50 for the 32 oz bottle. Stan's was $25, amazon prime eligible. (2 day free shipping)

So that ended that experiment as well. :)

You aren't the first one I've read about with Orange Seal that froze up.  Guess it has a lower freezing point than Stan's.  Overall, I'd have to say there is nothing wrong with Stan's other than it seems to need replenishing more often, if I don't add new every three months or so.  Orange Seal goes about 6 months before needing more sealant in the tires.

Either way, the sealants are only so good.  Stan's claims to be the slowest to evaporate, he even did a video on Youtube where he tests different sealants for evaporation.

The longer intervals between refreshes was one of the reasons I tried it out. Might have had something to do with the freezing, but before our ride last week I had to shoot Orange Seal in both of Grace's tires as they weren't holding air. My FS bike has been in the garage (heated) most of the winter, and needed a fresh shot of Orange Seal before I took it out yesterday.
