Xiamen Carbon Speed rims/wheels

I am currently looking for wheels to replace my Elite Edge 1.0 with 65 mm rim height and 21 mm inner width.

I ride crit races.

I would like a rim height of 60-65, no more, as this is prohibited by the new UCI rules.  I think 23 mm in mouth width would be ideal, as I want to ride 30-32 mm tires.

Since you can easily crash or other riders can crash into you, I'm afraid of carbon spokes because they're not so easy to replace, right?
Crits are just a bit rough 😅

Of course, they should still be as light as possible.

They shouldn't necessarily be the most expensive ones either, because the risk of them breaking during the season is naturally a bit higher 😉

I've read a lot of good things about Peter. Do you have any tips or recommendations?

T800/T1100 26/34mm Rim with Sapim spokes is excellent value for money right now and . I plan to buy two pairs for me and my friend, and they're lighter than Edges (I have the same Elites but in 50 mm).

For crit racing I'd go 65/65 with carbon spokes. 33/34mm wide in the rear and either the 33/34mm in front if you want to run a 30/32c front tire or 31/32mm if you want 28c

You can order spare carbon spokes, and the stiffness/snappiness when sprinting is mentally satisfying. I don't think I'd go ultra light carbon for a crit racing. Get a more durable grade of carbon

kjerts: I had them made to order from reflective material. I "copied" logos from "EIE" wheels it is legit brand from Xiamen. Iam sorry to Peter for putting logos of other brand on his wheels, but you know I always put some reflective logos on my rims for safety and I like those logos and there is definitely bit of Tadej enve efect for sure

I had thought about this with my wheels. But using AI to make an Enve inspired logo that said XMCS. To get the effect but still show off XMCS. Never bothered going that far, I plan to leave mine blank in the end

Peter sent tracking info for my wheels. Excited to get them! 58mm, 16/18 spokes and very pleased with the weight! Going to pair nicely with my LC LCR018.

I did make a design but deleted it (shame on me) when I decided to leave the wheels blank. It was similar to Budder12's but a but the X was solid.

Edit - AI saved an early version. I later made the X solid and a few small tweaks. But this was 90% there.

Now we are developing new Ultralight 20/20H hubs for carbon spokes, around 230g/pair, they should be released end of Jan or early Feb. At the same time, we are making titanium freehub for 20/20H ultralight hubs with same rachets design as Tactic hubs as well, so there will be plenty options on our hubs soon.

And we are going to do D78CU-33 same 26mm internal hooked rims 78mm depth , this rim would be released end of Jan or early Feb too.
So we would have 26mm internal hooked rim at 35/40/50/58/65/78mm depths options.

What is the T1100 weight estimated to be for the 78mm Rim.
And I'm not sure if its technically possible but will there be 16/18H version planned for this hub type?

The tires are still the stock Schwalbe G-One Bites in 45c that came on the bike. I was running 35psi in the stock wheels for pavement rides and 30psi offroad. These wheels are definitely firmer at the same pressure so I need to play around with lower pressures. The tires are ok offroad but I'd like to switch to something like a 42 pathfinder or 45 g-one rs for a little more speed on the road. In my area I end up covering a lot of road between gravel/dirt sections and I'll likely be using this as my road bike this winter.

Can you tell me how wide the Schwalbe tires actually are on the rim? Thanks and Merry Christmas 😊

He told me 1365 g for the ultralight hub with 20h 5 mm carbon spokes. I will order one when its available to replace my current 65 mm XMC wheels.

So the rim is about 495/500g which I thought it would be in this ball park.
This is an excellent weight for this depth compared to rim currently on the market.
75mm I have see at 540g and 80mm 560g

I would like to present another wheeset from Peter. This is my second, previously I had 35 mm depth.

For that time I decided to go with:
- 16/18H
- D40CU-33 26mm internal
- 3.2mm super light carbon spokes
- XDR driver
- black hub

Maybe this is not the lightest wheelset ever, however, for 40 mm depth with 26 mm internal, the total weight is 1055 g so...ultralight. Those looking great, on real even better! The rims are very wide, I love that! I put TPU tube, tape on each wheel and Continental Tire Archetype so 30 mm TL tire. For now the whole set is 1678 g. Then you can add 401 g (85+72+232+6+6) and we have ~2080 with full wheels with cassette!  Easily you can go down using lighter tires ~50 g each.

I didn't ride on it yet, but as always I can fully recommend the purchase. Great communication, great knowledge, good advices and quick shipment! I'm more than happy!
