because my 28mm Powercup clincher had a sidewall cut before my biketouring trip, i put on 28mm gp5k clinchers as thats what i have around.

on my d50cu-33, powercups balooned to ~32mm, while gp5k got to like a lil under 30mm.
as the gp5k sidewall kinda flush to rim wall, i think if you are taking onto some gravel part, its best to go bigger tire to protect the rim lip as i already had few scratches

I will also definitely go for 30 mm GP 5000 once my road frame arrives. I just put on the 28 mm for testing purpose, since I had those tires flying around. 28 mm GP 5000 are definitely a little bit to narrow for the 33 mm rim.

@Peter

Is there a rotor for N3W available for the 20h hubs?

just sharing info.
i have a 2021 aluminium tcr that i wanted to sell due to cant upkeep too many bikes n kinda narrow tire clearance.

this is what d50cu-33 looks like with 28mm powercup balooned to 32mm at the chain stays  :P
/like 1mm gap on drive side(even rim gap to stays), n 3.5mm on other side

I’m still waiting for an update on the 18-18Hole hub that’s currently under testing—Peter must be swamped lately, as communication has been a bit tricky.

In the meantime, I’m in the market for a new set of wheels—something in the 50–60mm range, ideally using the wider 24IW or 26IW T1100 rims.
I’ve sold my CRW 50/60s, so I’m looking for a quality replacement.

I’m particularly interested in wheels built with the Vonoa SLR520 spokes (5.2mm)—the 4th gen carbon spokes that come in at just 2.3 grams each. It’s surprising how few OEMs are using Vonoa (Stren) spokes, considering they were one of the originals in this space. Maybe it’s a cost issue, or perhaps they’re simply not offering the 4th gen option yet.

Also the carbon chainrings—definitely interested once I can confirm the weights and will get a set as well.

Hi,
I got my wheels some months ago and I would like to give a little review.
The contact with Peter was really amazing.  8) He answerd fast and very detailed to my questions.
The delivery was perfect in time (as promised - got before pictures of the wheelset).
Wheelset (55 mm, Carbonspokes, paintless surface) is superlight 1178 gr., the paintless look is very nice. the spoke tension is super („all the same“).
Mounting tubeless tires was easy, without any issue.
I did some miles on it and I am very satisfied (stiff, good aerodynamics).
I can highly recommened wheels from Xiamen Carbon Sports, Peter is super

I'd also like to hear more about the wheelset. Which width did you get? Could you share what tyre are you using and measurements?

Any chance we will see some fiber spokes on those rims one day?
I would love the additional comfort but i'm not ready to pay $2000+ for some fancy berd or goosyn wheels.
This could be the perfect package for my future All-Road bike  ;D

I’ve decided to replace my CRW 50/60s, which I sold this week. They were fantastic wheels — super light and reliable — but I’m after a more modern, wider rear rim profile he CRWs rear if people dont know was 21mm inner and the front was 25mm.

For reference, my CRWs came in at 1282g with rim tape.

The DFS rim profile on my current 60/65s is similar to that  as the XMC rims with 26mm internal, which I still like — but I really I want to give the profile of the new DC50 & DC60 CU31 models a go.

Here’s what I’ve requested for pre-order as I want the new up and coming 18/18Hole hubs:

Front: D50CU31

Rear: D60CU31

Spokes: 5mm carbon

Finish: T1100, UD paintless, no logos

Hubs: Requested with the new 18/18 Hole hubs expected at the end of the month

Oh and a set of the XMC Carbon chainrings as well!

Looking forward to the build — hoping this setup hits that sweet spot of stiffness, aero, and modern width.

I haven’t owned a set of XMC wheels before, but with all the great reviews on here, it honestly feels like a no-brainer.

Just have to be patient with Peter, as  with a new baby on the way and work he is crazy busy!

What size is your frame? I am also waiting for an R088 frame to pair with my XMC wheels.
