Guys. We will attend Eurobike 2025, our booth no. is Hall 11.1  A72. Welcome stand by and say hi
We will release new gravel rim D53TU-41 as attached by then, hooked 53mm depth 32.5mm internal 41mm external

Peter gave me the opportunity during (or shortly after) Eurobike to keep a wheelset with the new rims and titanium spokes in Germany for extended testing. I'll be preparing a review over the next few weeks — if you have any input or specific aspects you'd like me to cover, feel free to reach out.

For reference, I'm currently running a Zipp 303s on my titanium gravel bike (not the XPLR version, so the comparison has its limitations). I’ll also be comparing the wheels to Peter’s road bike wheelset with carbon spokes for additional context.

Disclaimer: I purchased the wheelset at a discounted price, but I’m committed to writing an unbiased and honest review.

Influencers have invaded Carbon Speed with inflated prices  8)

I have the new 1-piece handlebars from Peter in hand. They feel quite robust, and the finishing is good. I never really liked the EXS Aerover bars personally.

I am currently thinking about ordering a wheelset from xmcs and am currently indecisive about hub choice. Whats the experience with their inhouse hubs regarding reliability and replacement parts? Are parts easily available or would you upgrade the hubs to some brand name?

They are sourcing hubs neither from THR nor from H-works. They offer whatever in-house hubs (with ratchet) or dt swiss. Zero details. Any questions about schematics/replacement/compatibility were ignored.

I think i read somewhere in this thread, that you can replace the ratchet mechanism with dt swiss. But i am not sure about the freehub?

The ratchet is DT Swiss compatible but don't know about ratchet, but never had to replace one

Does anyone run 28c tires on 26mm internal rims?

Thanks for the video. I was about to order this from Peter but I was quoted 60$USD for shipping… it is quite an expensive handlebar without spacers and mount. The Tavelo is nice as well but people complain on how hard it is to pass the cables which is also making me hesitant. Please do a review once you have actually mounted it. I am now hesitant with BigRock skyline II which can be found for 200$USD on TaoBao.

Shipping is quite expensive if you don’t trade through government subsided platforms like aliX

Got my XMCS wheels installed on my new Allez Sprint.

24iw/31ew
60mm t800 rim
24/24 Sapim CX Ray spokes
Small logos
Taped and valves
2x spare spokes
Tax free shipping (5 working days from china to UK)
USD 780/ GBP 577

Pirelli Pzeros 32mm tyres come up to 33.7mm

One short ride so far, so can't provide any definitive feedback. Imo they certainly look nice. Got a couple of big rides scheduled this weekend so will get put through their paces then.

Separately so glad I found this forum, learnt loads, found loads of nice parts and having replaced all my rim brake bikes with this one, my recently built up R088 and Longteng 268d (currently building), I'll have 3 bikes all setup for different riding types or weather for a cost I wouldn't have been able to justify on western brands.

I am also looking for this configuration. What is the weight of your wheelset?

1486g so marginally under 1500g which was my target for the price point.

Had my first long ride with Peter's wheels and they are amazing! Loved the hub sound. Can't recommend enough! The whole process was really easy and they arrived in the given estimated time.
