I‘ve been riding
D50CU-31 T1100 rims 20/20H UD matt
Black colour in-house hubs 20/20H 54T sprockets TPI ceramic bearings centre lock straight pull for 100*12/142*12 with Shimano HG Driver
5.0mm carbon spokes
since mid/end of June.
Now they're starting to make noises. A quiet creaking noise when I pedal. After checking the crank and bottom bracket twice, and two different chains and cassettes, I've ruled out the Shimano drivetrain. Today I fitted a different rear wheel and I couldn't hear it anymore. I've taken the freehub off the rear wheel and, when cleaning the components, I noticed metal shavings. It was on my cleaning Paper and Fingers. You can also see wear on the pinion gears. I haven't disassembled the freehub any further as I don't have any tools at hand.
I'm surprised to notice this after such a short time. I wrote to XmCarbonspeed Right now. I am excited how they react.
Thanks for youfeedback and sorry if I didn't reply your email in time 5 hours ago, time difference anyway. I think I'd better reply here directly, others can see how we deal with this as well.
If the roads there are dusty not very good, even you ride with original DT Swiss hubs, you need to do proper maintenance after decent miles as well.
Please clean the rachets and use new grease, if the noise is still there, we can send you new rachets, even new axle and bearings if you think needed, as soon as you could confirm what the exact problem is, we would handle that for sure.
And we will upgrade the rachets with titanium material to make them with better performance, we are testing them now.
