Aero gravel frameset suggestion
« on: October 02, 2024, 11:36:33 AM »
Hi,
i'm looking for a racing gravel frameset with an aero appearance that respect the following features:

- Racing geometry
- Aero appearance
- Threaded BB, preferably T47
- No dropped cahinstays
- No rack/fender mounts
- Reliable manufacturer
- Preferably with UDH, not mandatory

Basically i'm searching something like Factor Ostro Gravel.

Can anyone suggest me something?

Peter's grevil clone ticks almost all these boxes. I have one, and bought 5 wheelsets so as far as I'm concerned, he's reliable.
If you ask he might be able to not add all the mounting points
Xiamen carbon speed, Peter is on the forum.
Fast on the flat. And nowhere else.

if you put "NOT A PINARELLO" on it. i'd argue it's confidently not a pinarello :)

Quite a few open mould frames (like the VB GF003) are very, very heavily inspired from branded counterparts.

So you'd buy something because that looks and dances likes an ostro gravel, but not a pinarello grevil? The italians are offended, i can hear them. they're waving their hands and saying stuff like "we are a not good a enough for youuuu?".
Fast on the flat. And nowhere else.

I am in the same situation. I was going to go for Peter’s grevil bike but I realized the frame would not fit me (I have quite long arms so the reach would be too short). The Factor Ostro Gravel would fit though but I have not found a ”Chinese” option for that frame/geometry.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the look of the pinarellos. I ended up going with the spcycles g068 frame (has a long reach), it has the same geometry/look as a newest canyon grail. If i could have found an ostro gravel clone that fit 47+ tires and fit like a 60-62CM frame I would have done that in a heartbeat.
