I'm wondering if you believe that the golden era of cheap bike parts will be over soon? Will the dock strikes increase AliExpress shipping prices across the board? Will the potential next president's proposed tariff plan absolutely destroy our ability to get cheap bike parts from China?

I'm wondering because I am in the process of building a new MTB, and deciding whether I should wait until Black Friday/11-11 sales, or just strike now.

Looking in particular at a set of Shimano Deore M6120 brakes and Elitewheels ENT-MTB wheelset.

Port strikes are on East cost, so no immediate effect for China goods. Maybe a bit of an increase right now but strike won’t last, the balance of power is in favor of ILA, they will sign a deal quickly I think.
Regarding futur tariffs, it won’t be before November, you’re safe.
