Looking for a carbon triathlon frame

So my ICAN TT017 has arrived. I’m yet to assemble but everything looks ok. I went for plain gloss black but this shows fingerprints and looks like it will be hard to keep clean. I wish I went for the  cracked ice custom paintwork they offer.

The front end and cockpit looks like it could be easily modified to cut off the ski pole aero bars and keep the plate to mount different bars to. I’m not sure if you could replace the complete plate easily as the plate it comes with is recessed to fit the riser grooves. The riser is strong but seems heavy.

I can say this takes 32mm tyres and the width of the frame and forks looks like it does

A bit of news: the TT017 frame isn't just of interest to us, because when I kept asking ican they gave me a brand in Spain that would UCI-certify the frame: MMR bikes, which already equips a Spanish continental team.
On the other hand, a quick search on the Quick pro website turned up the TT one, which in terms of shape is a carbon copy of the TT017, but weighs less. I hope the frame will be homologated for their continental team in Serbia and that Panda podium will sell it.

Sorry tg, I was going off topic from the original thread, for me I was only looking for a TT bike for Ironman racing. UCI certified frames from China probably narrows your search even more.

I will start a new thread for my build and post my feedback when I get some time.

To add another option for TT frame, the store RK Ultra Extreme Carbon Fiber Store on Aliexpress makes a (allegedly) high quality copy / clone / counterfeit of the Pinarello Bolide. It costs c.2k, though, so that's quite a budget.
It means for anyone buying second hand bikes, i'd be extremely careful to make sure i'm buying an authentic frame.
But more to the point, if i were buying a TT frame, i'd consider that one, without logos, because it looks gangsta AF.

My original thoughts on not buying a second hand carbon frame:
- You don't know how it has been treated or if it has been in a crash.
- Copy cat frames that may be of questionable quality. (It could also be from the same factory but I doubt it)

This just adds the don't buy second hand carbon unless you know the owner personally and know exactly where they purchased it. I mean if you are a carbon expert and can spot issues then go for it, most of us are not.

I finally have my Velobuild TT-023 in a place where the bike feels right. I need a bike fit but most of the issues are resolved. Just spent the last hour at 30+km/h with the bike feeling nothing but fast, the rider not so much. Got some looks from the tri-club training on the track, but that was probably because I was the only person running a full disk and that guy wearing a t-shirt . I am using the bike for Ironman in a few months so that will be a true test of the bike.

Decide on a frame, build the bike and ride it.

I know this probably doesnt help anyone atm but spcycle mentioned to me they are doing a tt frame. Going to be about a year though.

not in development yet, about a year still, they said they will start development in early 2026 with planned release in may 2026

Seems like a very short time to develop and maybe test. Kinda scary from an engineering standpoint
