You should specify which day of the week 😜. He tests a lots of wheels and brings us a lots of useful infirmation.

Hi! Has anyone tried to mount gravel tyres on this frame ?
I would make a 650b wheelset with a 32/33mm gravel/cyclocross tyres. Single-chainring, 44t. I am not sure there is enough cleareance on the fork and on the rear.
Any suggestions ? Thx!

Max width 32c per spec
Will fit 34mm no more think it was Patrick maybe who confirmed this he was running 32mm tyres on XM CarbonSpeed 26mm inner rims that measured 34mm.
Maybe he can confirm this

Yup! I can fit 34mm measured at the rim on my genuine SL8. Haven't tried it on my X68

I got myself a legit S-Works Tarmac SL8 after riding the X68. I will not disassemble the real one, but if you need specific side by side comparison, shots, etc. please let me know. I know Patrick also had a real one too, but if I recall correctly, he got rid of it before getting his hands on the X68.

I am 194cm tall.

I currently ride a Steel Bike, 56CM BB to Seat Post with a 130mm Stem. It’s a great fit for me.

I am concerned about the sizes for X68. I notice the BB to Seat Post is significantly smaller even in the large frames. Their largest is only 51cm which would mean I’d need to run massive seat post.

Any other tall riders here with a x68 or x70?

Here is my update on the X68 build.

The frame arrived pretty fast and seems to be of good quality.
Unfortunately, the screw for the headset top cap was missing, and my request to TT for a replacement was not answered positively.

The build itself was not difficult.
The only issue was the alignment of the rear brake. I wasn’t able to adjust the rear brake so that the pads were not touching the disc. Finally, after using a 0.25 mm washer, I could adjust the brake caliper in an acceptable way. However, this should not be the standard, especially because you can’t insert the safety pin for the brake assembly screw.

The first rollout was fine so far.
Only the seat post slipped a bit, which I need to monitor during the next rides. Also, the headset play needed to be adjusted twice.

Overall, the first impression and experience aren’t that bad.
But hopefully, I’ll never have a serious issue, because I don’t think TT would take care of it.

Has anyone bought a complete x68 bike from seraph? How was it? I'm looking for something similar to my s-works tarmac that I can use for international travel. I would prefer to travel with a cheaper bike that i'm less concerned about theft/damage. I could also potentially have a seraph shipped directly to one of my destinations.

I would have a hard time building a bike for under 3k. I can't even find a used sl7 for that price. So a complete bike for 2900 is an interesting idea.

I have concerns about assembly quality and safety. Thoughts? I assume they are using the cheapest possible components wherever they can.
