Not sure this the right place where to ask:
I cannot fix the computer mount (Deemount) on a fake Roval Rapide handlerbar mounted on a fake SL8: when I ride, vibrations male the scew loosen and the computer moves.
I tried to fix with a threadlocker but it does not work.
Anyone with the same issue ? Any solution ?

Is the mount fully sitting on the handlebar? My tip would be to try a small washer under the screw if the mount already sits fully on the handlebar, or if not, then to try putting something between mount and handlebar, so that the mounts sits fully on it

The supplied mount is dog sh1t, and is a common issue on this thread. Get another mount or use stronger red thread locker maybe

Hello everyone!

I finally received my assembled bike from the mechanic today. Below I'll describe the entire story, from purchasing the frame to receiving the finished bike.

I started following this forum thread in March 2025. After reading your reviews (thank you so much for that), I decided to place an order and build my first carbon fiber bike.

I placed the order in August 2025. I communicated with Vivian via WhatsApp, where he also generated an invoice, and I paid via AliPay. A month later, the frame was delivered to my home. The frame wasn't damaged in transit, except for a small scratch on the fork. I wrote to Vivian about this, and he assured me it wasn't a problem and I shouldn't worry.

In February 2026, when I had all the components in hand, I sent the bike in for assembly. I asked the mechanic to tell me what he thought of the frame. He said the frame was generally well-made, but there was one annoying issue. The battery wouldn't fit into the seat tube, as if something inside the frame was preventing it from being pushed in. Because of this, the seat post couldn't be adjusted to its proper height. The mechanic decided to leave the battery without the special clamp; he simply left it inside the frame. I don't know how I'll be able to get the battery out later. Do you think this is a bad idea? Will this cause any problems in the future? I'm very worried about this issue, and it's somehow marred my impression of the new bike...

Now I can't wait for the season to try the frame out.

Nice build, can you take a picture of the seat tube interior ? I think there is someone who encountered the same issue as yours. My best guess will be that there is an excess of carbon layup that you will have to sand if you want to sit the battery properly in the seat tube as the original SL8.

Shouldn't be a problem. I've had a bunch of bikes with both campy and shimano batteries in the seatube without holders. They are usually very easy to get out.

Maybe a little bit of a dumb question, but which BS68 bottom bracket do you need?

I'm going to be using the Magene TEO 29mm DUB crankset, so i'm ordering a SRAM DUB BB.
I see there's different options like 44m or 47mm?

Second question:

Which exact size headset bearings do you need?
I probably want to install a decent brand headset bearings upon first installation, hoping those might have a longer lifespan.

Shouldn't be a problem. I've had a bunch of bikes with both campy and shimano batteries in the seatube without holders. They are usually very easy to get out.

My battery actually got stuck pretty bad in the seat tube as the tube is a weird shape that easily wedges the battery in place. If you can, I would tape a string or something on the bottom of the battery so you can easily pull it out when you need to.
